Jonathan Paul Manziel

obviously they're going to say the Little Douchenozzle is "making progress."
Like it or not, he IS an asset for the Browns organization. Haslam employs people whose job is dependent upon maximizing that return.
So, they're simply lying with the purpose of the Browns organization achieving the largest return on JFF in trade.
-
He admittedly wasted his rookie season. He lied to his employer.
He was in rehab and I still drinking like a fool.
That's what is define as not having your shit together.
While there's no fault in getting drunk and still performing your job but the fact is he isn't performing
Let me just come back to what I bolded because I don't disagree at all. Honestly, I'm pretty "meh" on Manziel-I think if the new regime brought in the right system with a little time he could honestly be a good QB. I also think he could be a career back-up character who never gets it together either.
BUT, all I'm trying to say is the Browns are very devoid on talent. If a guy parties hard in his free time but performs on the field, I literally could not care the fuck less. That's all I'm trying to say, it's not "defending" Manziel in my eyes. I'm just tired of having such little talent if talent comes in a party package so be it.

I agree with that. The NFL is full of young guys who like to party. If they keep it within the boundaries and are safe while doing it, then who really cares.
Manziel is a different story and we all know why.

I don't like Pettine but there isn't a viable replacement. Fire Farmer (Obviously)
Make Haslam sign a contract that he won't intervene.
That's the best I can come up with.
Anyone else got a better idea?

Farmer had to go, but Pettine ignoring the defense until it was too late (KC and Steelers) was the reason he got sent packing. That, and if the Gilbert rumor is true- losing control of the locker room. His clock management was terrible too.
I can't feel bad for him, he can sit around doing nothing, or get a TV gig- and still collect more in the next two years than I've made in my lifetime.

Pet will make an amazing high school guidance counselor

the very loud rumor being said by Grossi....and getting louder by the hour...,,is that Johnny showed up to work drunk on Weds and couldnt function in the QB room.....
and the Browns did him a favor by not saying anything....and want to protect any sliver of value he may still have....
And Grossi insists its true.....I believe him

Time to go back to rehab. The kid has gone into full relapse mode that much is obvious.
He doesn't give two damns about the Browns or the city of Cleveland - trade him for a box of chicken mcnuggets.

Why is Manziel a Brown?
Can't Sasha Brown or somebody cut him?

JFF1: Reported this on @SNFonNBC re Manziel: Browns require players in concussion protocol to be seen by team medic at 9 am on Sunday …
JFF2: … even if they’re not playing. Manziel didn’t show up Sunday. Browns couldn’t reach him on phone. At this point I can tell you …

JFF3: … Browns are so done with the guy. I will be stunned if he ever plays another snap for Cleveland. He wants to go to Dallas. -
I backed Johnny, still think the talent is there, but I also believe he will be, & SHOULD be a Brown NO MORE. Get rid of the drama & negative publicity that was the "Johnny & Mike Show", wipe the slate clean & start again.
There is no doubt in my mind that Jimmy Haslam is passionate about bringing a winner to Cleveland. That alone gives me hope. He's made mistakes & has an uphill road to travel, but I think he can & will experience success here & I intend to go along for the whole ride.

+1 on all of it Mike.

This dude is a fucking faggot.

Don't let the door hit your ass in the way out Johnny
What a total disaster.

I prefer playing angels' advocate... and being labelled (libeled?) a "hater"...

If you listened closely to Haslam's post firing presser- he confirmed the bold above. The guy is done in Cleveland, with a capital D.
+1 on all of it Mike.
It's got to hurt you Ag. Hurts every Browns fan too. Another first round draft pick flushed.
Something I'll pass along to the (few) remaining Johnny supporters as well stated by one of my friends. You're not an alcoholic until you go to meetings. Until then you're just a drunk. Unless you're rich- then you're a lush. Johnny has enough money (and rich family) that he's never going to wind up on skid row- but I hope he gets help before he kills someone in a traffic accident.

Manziel is a real head case!
He never showed up at the facility for his medical check up. Haslam was quoted as saying.
Can you believe this? Like the last game last year when they sent security looking for him, he didn't show up today and he's required!Manziel is a real head case!

Better to just cut him and throw him out with the rest of the toilet water
