  • Jerry wanted Johnny. Everyone knows it. I would guess Jerry still wants him, though Johnny may be showing that his problems are too major to coexist with life as an NFL qb.

As bad as he's been, Johnny would be an upgrade at backup qb for the Cowboys. I would guess that Cleveland will call Jerry every day pushing for some kind of trade. Any value now for Johnny is a plus.

Cutting him gains nothing. Keeping him can't be feasible, can it? Get what you can, sever all ties. This seems like the best move to me. This assumes that Jerry still wants him, which, with everything that's happened, may not be true anymore.

  • I read the thread and skimmed the links, but apparently missed any reports as to why he wasn't on the sideline today.

That's just something you do right? Whether pro sports or youth girls fastpitch, unless you're hospitalized, you are on the sideline showing you care.

    That is............... if you care.
  • IN ten years we're going to see him on the Oprah Winfrey show promoting his book on how alcohol ruined his life and career. Sad!

  • the Johnny Manziel story took a bizarre turn Monday night when ESPN Las Vegas reported that Manziel went to a popular nightclub wearing a blonde wig, fake mustache, fake glasses and a hoodie while in Vegas.

It gets better: He identified himself as "Billy," reports say. And according to Will Burge of WTAM AM/1100, there is video of Manziel in the disguise.

  • I read that too so I know you're not kidding. By morning this will be all over the Internet! The article says Manziel didn't want to use his credit card and wanted his room compt. Whatever that means. Manziel has really got be let go! The Browns will probably cut him now instead of trying to trade him. I would give him the Bus ticket to Dallas and close the door. He's not sane. There's some kind of mental illness going on here.

  • Idiot.

What exactly was the leverage he felt good enough to ask for his room to be comped?

  • It's True

  • Sadly though, he is the most "entertainment value" of this franchise. Although the poster-boy of all that has gone wrong with this franchise since 1996 ... and that is really saying something to be vaulted at the top of that class at this stage of the fiasco. I'm starting to really like this guy now. He's freaking crazy! I'm not sure that I'm sane, or you're sane (for being here, still engaged in this franchise). I was numb, but now I'm glued to this circus ... this is unbelievable.

  • He ended up using his credit card. He had no leverage! Especially when he's giving a false name and a disguise. This is a major melt down! Its not normal behavior! Serial Killers and OJ Simpson go out in disguises. He's not only ruined his career but when he's broke he won't have all those fancy celebrity friends and groupies. The shallow world he lives in will come crashing down and no one likes a loser. Really sad.

  • Billy Manziel is a freaking Legend. He's my favorite Brown since 96'. I'm going to buy his jersey now.

  • I've heard this and was going to make a post earlier about but decided i didn't want to waste time on johnny anymore.

maybe it was his pre-emptive strike against us....

maybe after he blew the last game he realized he'd never be a pro QB in the league and decided to do this crazy thing to get people talking about him and press to possibly get a TV show, get to dallas and cut by cleveland with the rest of the contract money, or make a career out of being a celebrity.

bela legosi once said you can never get bad press, and if people talk about you, even if its bad, its still good.

he wants to brand johnny football and only cares about johnny football.

or maybe he just thought he could get away with it with the instagram post saying he was in avon and all, and being slick.

or maybe the kid is just a crazy alcoholic, mentally unstable, the biggest bust of the century, and the next ryan leaf.

  • hahahahahhahahah this is just pure gold

  • If its a coin flip between goff, lynch trade back to 5th-6th from second grab the other one and get an extra 2nd or third out of it.

  • Anyone talk to Phil yet ?

Browns fan (Phil) reacts to Manziel pick:

  • Jared Goff.

Paxton Lynch is incredibly overhyped and Bosa will go #1 overall

  • Analyze this! He sent an Instagram of himself in his apartment lying on the floor with a puppy! So everyone would think he was "housing" during the holiday. When all along he was in Vegas disguised like Ted Bundy and going by a fake name. THIS IS JUST SICK

How many other weird things was he doing we never heard about while Mike Pettine was forced to deal with this mess. Now I really feel that Pettine got screwed! Was his job affected by this party animal? Maybe.

This better be the last we see Manziel if the Browns want a viable, serious, competent Head Coach

  • Maybe he is just bored with this fake franchise and pretend atmosphere.

Maybe we should change back to the original shade of orange, and stick a fucking unicorn logo on the helmet. Maybe the Browns and Lions should merge and play in Toledo.

  • Can we sell blonde hair/mustache glasses?

  • If its a coin flip between goff, lynch trade back to 5th-6th from second grab the other one and get an extra 2nd or third out of it.

It's not a freaking "coin flip". Identify the BEST prospect, then draft him.
