    Yea I'm sure that's it.

Never mind the fact that he was exactly the same in college and still sucks balls in every area required to be a successful pro QB - like he always has.

He's a crazy drunk in the spot light because he's with the Browns, right 🙄

totally disagree. this guy never wanted to play in cleveland. of course, who does. I don't understand why he just didn't pull a john elway and say i don't want to play for this team and save us all the headaches in the first place. Will he be a sucessful qb. I think that remains to be seen...

Acting like a jackass and lying to your team about where you are and what you're doing and trying to cover it up isn't exactly going to endear him to other team owners and coaches.

Jerry wanted Johnny. Everyone knows it. I would guess Jerry still wants him, though Johnny may be showing that his problems are too major to coexist with life as an NFL qb.

As bad as he's been, Johnny would be an upgrade at backup qb for the Cowboys. I would guess that Cleveland will call Jerry every day pushing for some kind of trade. Any value now for Johnny is a plus.

Cutting him gains nothing. Keeping him can't be feasible, can it? Get what you can, sever all ties. This seems like the best move to me. This assumes that Jerry still wants him, which, with everything that's happened, may not be true anymore.

Yea, but something else you have to think about: While Jerry might like Johnny....there is another Heisman Trophy winner from Texas who will be available in the offseason that Jerry may be just as enamored with.....and who does not come with all the personal baggage that JFF comes with....and who comes with likely a better upside than Johhny:

    RGIII.

Whatever RGIII isn't.....healthy....a good QB in the system....he also has not been an off field problem. He has sat quietly all year not getting a chance to play, and has done nothing to throw the spotlight upon himself.

So, if I were the Cowboys I would say fuck the freakshow....lets bring in a more dynamic a player (in college...and in the pros) and a solid citizen.....RGIII.

What u think of the chances we bring him here? And what would be your opinion?

Right in that he did not care if CLE drafted him so long as he went in the first round... but once we did, he not only wanted to play in CLE, he expected to start in CLE.

He just did not expect to have to work for it...

This was hopefully my last serious post about JFF ever...

  • I'm perfectly fine with JM being our QB next year, I know he wants out but anyway.....I want opening day next year to be Billy Manzel day and we all wear the jersey and wigs. And if he goes out and wins.....epic. Cleveland is back.

Very true Gip, though Jerry seems to already have a relationship with Johnny, and wanted to draft him 2 years ago.

I'd forgotten all about Jimmy Piersall Tour. Did some crazy ass stuff there.

And damn I agree on laughing about JFF. Beats the alternatives all to hell.

For the Dallas Cowboys. You're a fucking moron if you think he's playing in Cleveland again.

Aha, but they do play us in Cleveland this year. So be careful what you wish for.

And in 2017 we play Houston in Houston-now that I will have to get tickets for as soon as available.

I wish for him to be so far away from this team that I don't care how he does in the future. The odds against him turning his shit around are so huge that I'm willing to gamble that he's the next Ryan Leaf and not going to turn into the next Peyton Manning.

  • At first I was pissed but more I think about it I agree with Stan, Now I don't know if Stan was being serious but I think this whole thing is freaking funny, I say we keep him and if he is good this will be a movie

You can't make this stuff up

As I said elsewhere I give him a 10% chance of waking up and turning this around.

I think 10% is optimistic....but I'd still take those odds and just release his sorry ass.

  • It is true that Pettine and Farmer both wanted Carr.

This will be my last comment on Johnny also. I guess addiction leads to lying to those trying to help you. Addiction is complicated. I've never been addicted but I will agree he needs help. The lying to coaches and disguises are desperate acts by a very mixed up person.

I now want to apologize to Mike Pettine. I had no idea what he must have been going through. I hope he gets another job soon.

The dysfunction of the Browns is trickling down from Haslam and sure messed things up. Maybe when the Manziel situation is finally put to rest they can concentrate on building a winning football team.

Reports: Johnny Manziel and Robert Griffin III want to play for the Cowboys

According to a pair of reports, Johnny Manziel and Robert Griffin III—two Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks from schools in Texas—desire to return home and play for the Dallas Cowboys.

Over a series of Tweets this past Sunday, Peter King of MMQB reported Manziel “wants to go to Dallas” after he failed to show up for concussion treatment at the Browns facility. The center of so much drama over his first two NFL seasons, Manziel is now more likely to be released by Cleveland than play another season for the Browns.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reports Tuesday that Griffin III—Washington’s Rookie of the Year turned backup quarterback—has similar desires.

“Sources close to each player have maintained since the beginning of last offseason that if either was cut loose from his franchise, there was a belief that Jones would be interested,” Robinson wrote. “That remains to be seen. Regardless, the same sources have told Yahoo Sports that both Manziel and Griffin have Dallas atop their preferred destinations should they become available.”

It’s easy to see why both Manziel and Griffin III would want to play in Dallas. Both players are loved within the state, as Griffin III won the Heisman for Baylor in 2011 before Manziel took home the award for Texas A&M a year later. There’s also the age and health of current Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo, which could open up the opportunity to play—potentially sooner rather than later. Rehabbing a lost career for “America’s Team” would be a dream come true for both players.

Also, the Cowboys’ never-ending nightmare at backup quarterback in 2015 proved the franchise needs a capable No. 2 behind Romo, especially for 2016.

The question now is: Would either player be worth it for the Cowboys?

Owner Jerry Jones nearly pulled the trigger on drafting Manziel in 2014, but he’s been a constant headache for the Browns. Griffin III looked like the next big thing after a superlative rookie season, but injuries and problems with coaching staffs created a lost 2015 season in which he didn’t play in a single game.

They both have talent. They’ve both submarined promising careers. Maybe Dallas really is the best place for Manziel and Griffin III. Buckle up for another crazy offseason with these two quarterbacks and their shared preference in a landing spot in Texas.

  • if i'm the Cowboys...I take RGIII all day long and twice on Sundays.
