    Original Stroh's was pretty damn good, then they diluted their brand when they bought Schlitz trying to become a big boy brand.

  • I'm pretty sure I've seen a Coronado tap handle in ohio at least once. I can't recall where it was, but I'm a draft beer tech so the next time I see it I'll grab a sample.

    Yep, plus Fullers London porter. They are both phenomenal.

    No, we have a food business but its not a microbrew joint. We have one that I always go to which is why I said "my micro brew place". It's called barley hopsters, located on the corner of sandusky and William Street in Delaware. (Ohio)

    I'm not afraid to say that within its own category there's no more consistent American beer any better than Budweiser.

    You got it Steve- it's amazing Bud can churn out millions of gallons of the stuff, and every one is exactly like the last one.

    Well, based on those videos, you apparently have an axe to grind with beer snobs. Got an inferiority complex because all you like is a mass market American beer? I don't see anything wrong if you want to discuss the difference in the types of hops used in your beer. I can't tell the difference. But I will say- the only people that should be drinking Lite beers are the folks who are fanatic about watching their weight. You can only take the calories out of beer by taking the alcohol out.

    Well, your fellow Brits Howie and G-Man are partial to Guinness. Yeah- they wanted to sell the real, original Budjovice here in the US, but Budweiser got upset about it, and made them brand it as Czechvar, even though the original Czech brewery has Anheuser-Busch beat by centuries. I'd hazard a guess Erie Dawg didn't know that.

  • It's WAY EARLY, and I know that, but Wentz is starting to pick up a bunch of steam as a result of senior bowl practices. He's going to get a bunch a pub, and fans are probably going to nutso over Wentz's size and intelligence. So if Goff is gone, perhaps we still get our QB at #2. Remember when Bortles went to the Jags at a pick where many people said it was "early"? I could see us drafting Wentz, and essentially "redshirting" him next year. Again, it's early, so don't bite my head off, but if Wentz continues to build momentum like I think he's going to, AND obviously our talent gurus are sold on the kid, then we have our guy. I haven't done any research on Wentz, other than watch some videos, but I like what I see so far.

  • My wife loves that chocolate stout...

    My fav stout is still Beamish Black. I've still only found one place in the states that carries it, Flying Saucers in Little Rock, AR. Supposedly since then the brewery was bought by Heinekens and they have limited its export.
