I really hope when the Browns draft their next QB in a few months the Manziel circus will have left town.
I guess I missed the part when I watched Manziel play and thought, "wow what a great pick, he'll be an important part of the Browns for years to come". Analysts are being kind by saying in year 2, "he looked more prepared" and "there were times he played at an NFL level". This is the 22nd pick in the NFL draft. There were games, like Tennessee who stinks, were Manziel looked like he could be a solid game manager but at no point did he ever look like a top 15 QB and that is what you are hoping to get with a QB in the first round. I know we, myself included, are desperate to find the next Bernie Kosar but for god's sake can we admit when we've got nothing.
No disrespect, well at least not too much, but I'm kind of wishing we could set our sights higher than that.

I would love to but with the Clowns that have come through that door since 99 I just want 3-5 years where we don't have to change. We are going into year 2 of Joe Haden's contract and last year was a completely clusterfuck. It could very well be one of the worst free agent contracts in the history of the NFL but if he's healthy there is no question he'll be a starting DB week 1.

Pretty sure it has moved on.....at least in respect to the team and locker room going forward.....the fans will stay dialed in until there is some resolution though....
He does need help, but if it's true he hit his girlfriend so hard he burst her ear drum then he loses all sympathy from me (and many other people, I imagine)
He really needs to step up to the plate and admit he has a problem.
Not sure how many have sympathy for him.....perhaps a few with some pity and/or compassion for his plight.....
Honestly think it will be a while until he sees it......seems clear he still doesnt think there is any problem or issue to fix.....and until then, even with another rehab, I dont see things changing much.....he's gotta really want to change for it to happen....

Hate to say it, but i think joe will be retiring very very very sooooon....with that concuss he had this season...who eeee....too bad there are no tests for cte...i really hope someone is working on that....but don't count on joe, because he is not counting on staying in the nfl much longer...

so the attorney of his girlfriend leaked that he hit her so hard 'up side da head' that it broke her eardrum.
maybe this did or didn't happen, wasn't there, but looks like the manziel family is gonna get slapped with a lawsuit by this girl who has just totally if not pulled him down, but didn't do a fucking thing to help him either.

Who really knows the real truth? He left after she pulled that stunt. Tapes or it didn't happen the way she claims.
Ironically the Browns may be required to keep him on the team with paid leave beyond Mar 9 according to league rules on pending abuse accusations.

After. Apparently pulled down stairs - taken in car, ran out of car, put back in car, then slapped for leaving car, then threatened to kill each other, then said "I wouldn't hurt you only myself", then she felt bad and he came to her apartment, then she pulled the knife to get him to leave, then knocked on neighbor's door who is the one who called 911.
It doesn't entirely make sense to me. If there was a witness who saw him dragging her down the stairs and driving away with her - why wouldn't that witness call police?

Of course - girlfriend upset about cheating Johnny because of pictures of him and said other girl. Johnny says "No didn't happen. Just having fun"
I guess that's why there's an investigation.

So if it turns out that he is cleared of these charges, shouldn't that change everyones opinion? Because there's a big difference between these two incidents and TMZ party pictures.

I think it's really twisted to blame her for getting her ear drum burst. A fight between a man and a woman is not a fair fight. It's pretty clear they both have issues, but a big reason so much of this stuff doesn't get reported is because of the "blame the victim" mentality.
I don't see her getting all this supposed sympathy. Deion Sanders publicly blamed her. All the Johnny knob slurpers have called her a liar. Meanwhile everyone is....."poor Johnny....he needs help....we should feel sorry for him." What about feeling sorry for his alleged victim? What about feeling sorry for those with diagnosed mental illness who live on the damn streets? Those who don't have all the help johnny has available to him? Nah. Screw johnny. If he did what this girl alleges, his ass needs to be in jail. Judt like any if us would be for beating on a woman.
I think all of you feeling sorry for Johnny should do an experiment. Drive your car at a high speed along the shoulder of the highway while pretending to physically fight with your girl until bystanders call the cops. Then when they get there have your girl say you hit her and you tell the cops you had a couple drinks. See what happens to YOU in that situation. Bet you at LEAST get a field sobriety test and a seat in the back of a patrol car.
