God we're really going to go into next season with virtually the same defensive personnel aren't we? mother fucker.

There are some promising EDGE guys in rounds 1 and 2. Maybe even Rd 3.

Would UGA's Jenkins happen to be one of them?

Plus I see DTs that should make damn good 3-4 DEs going pretty deep as well.

  • Ummm Kruger sucked the first time with Horton as DC...so whats he going to do now? suck more?

  • the browns wouldn't know how to find OR use good players if the blueprint were rolled out in front of them as big as a 747.

    sheard? ward?

    mic drop.

  • Too early? Oh, hell no ! Did my knee flexes last night, and have a bit of the "achesies" this morning, lol

But I graduate from phys therapy later this morning. What an amazing ride. The hard part now, is

forgetting that I used to have one of the worst knees my surgeon ever worked on...

Get this: Horton says..says he's going to ...RUSH Paul Kruger "YAY"

    and....

he is going to play Danny Shelton a LOT MORE !!! Danny is now going to be a three down player !

Shelton obviously struggled with being taken out so much. I have talked to Canton Mike and Flugels,

and we're like "what the hell is up with that?"

Why the hell was Pettine being such an ignoramus. So many of us on this board saw it.

    So... what the...???

Horton also will undo the bad relationship between Haden and egotistical dimwits Pettine and O'Neil....

This is great. Talks about Mingo, Kirksey and Gilbert.

Finally, some excellent coaches with people skills and smarts to bring out the best, by bringing

out their strengths, instead of putting them in bad situations - round pegs/square holes, in a

concrete "system" they brought with them elsewhere.

    This is exciting stuff !

God bless ya Cal! That "achesies" comment dislodged the coffee in my mouth like a Heimlich maneuver.

I lost my Kruger pom poms and smiley faces. He doesn't need coaching - he needs a pyromaniac with a box of matches behind his fanny.

I saw some really good promise with Orchard. I'd also like to see more of Xavier Cooper. I'm not convinced we need to race either guy out of here.

I think experience and coaching will help Shelton get his pad height down and keep his head up. There's an old saying, one can't tackle what one can't see.

I'm hoping those in charge of our draft can identify bad tacklers and lousy instincts so we're not back in the same trap of thinking all we gotta do is teach it up.

The guy who stood out the most to me at the Senior Bowl was LBer Tyler Matakevich. This guy was all over the place making text book form tackles with shoulder pads rather than thinking ESPN kill shots so maybe he has a shelf life longer than Borland or Katzenmoyer? I loved Mayock's insights that he won't be the type to ace the Indy Fitness tests; but he can definitely play at the next level. When you get right down to it - how many NFL teams cared more about Ray Lewis' 40 time than his 1st step instinct? All that stupidity didn't didn't do us any favors seeing that guy pissed off he didn't get drafted until the 20s of round 1. I'd love to this type of talent fall to us. As a former Guard I can tell you the toughest ILBers to block were the ones with ideal first step instinct especially when I wasn't the play side Guard.

Here's the thing, how long does the average running play last - about 3 seconds or so? Getting there first often favors 1st step instinct over 40 speed or top end speed.

Just caught this it bit in Flug's quote... never occurred to me, but can see that being a real issue.

  • It's weird, but true. An ingrained part of me still doesn't think I

should lead with my right knee, because it might dislocate and

    rip up my knee,

...have had some serious injuries with that over the years... but my knee is perfect.

Seriously, I went out to the barn tonight, and got firewood in a double front

    wheel wheelbarrow.

So, I go up the deck stairs one step at a time, with an armload of firewood...get po'd, go back down, and by the time

I got up the nerve to test out my new knee - if it were in the 'teens I'd had gotten hypothermia.

That isn't even funny. My new perfect knee worked perfectly. But bad knee habits apparently

hang around in my subconcious. dammit.

  • I know of what you speak...

My entire life I put a coat on right arm first then left. Back around '99 tore the labrum in my left shoulder... no more reaching back for my left sleeve anymore. Had to relearn the whole process... left first then right. Two years later I had the labrum repaired, but the new process was ingrained.

Flash forward to late 2015 when I damaged my right shoulder. Long story short... now I'm back to Plan A.

I'm sure you've suffered more than just about any of us with that surgery history. Hang in there, it's going to get better for the Browns.
