Which one. Where's this manual? When did this happen?

By definition, social conservatives are always going to be on the wrong side of history. Unless we still have those that think blacks should be 2nd class citizens or that women shouldn't be able to vote...
The Republicans and Democrats basically flipped platforms 100+ years ago

oh, baloney. more misuse of a term, with denigrating "definitions" that suit a lib's political agenda.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_conservatism_in_the_United_States
Social conservatism in the United States is a right-wing political ideology that advocates against social progressivism, centered on the preservation of traditional beliefs. The accepted aims of the movement often vary amongst the various organisations it comprises, making it hard to generalise about the ideological preferences of its professed adherents. There are, however, a number of general principles to which at least a majority of social conservatives adhere, such as the rejection of the sexual revolution, abortion, LGBT rights, feminism, and the opposition to the growth of Islam in the United States. Social conservatives in the United States by and large ideologically support Evangelicalproselytism.Social conservatives describe their views regarding socio-political issues as based in traditional Judeo-Christian or family values. Social conservatives typically oppose same-sex marriage and abortion. In American politics, the Republican Party is the largest political party with some socially conservative ideals incorporated into its platform. Social conservatives predominantly support the Republican Party, although there are also socially conservative Democrats who break ranks with the party platform. -
I don't see anything there that refers to "blacks should be 2nd class citizens or that women shouldn't be able to vote.."
baloney.

Jim Crow and "separate but equal" weren't spawned from social progressives. Just taking a shot in the dark.

To be fair the equal part probably was.

And one can't help but notice that these days in the spirit of Jim Crow, that for every organization, event or award there seems to be at least one, if not more, version specifically for African Americans.
Would that be considered social progress or not?

I think ultimately things like those would not exist in a fully equal society. But they exist for basically every subset of non-white-males, mainly because the system is skewed in favour of white males.

Are the organizations, events, and awards being separated by law or by the choices of the individuals in the organizations? I bet the KKK has an annual potluck. They probably don't allow black people there. When it becomes the mantra of the local government then it becomes an issue.

Chris a full and equal society? Please.
Logic, of course they aren't mandated by law.
That's the point. Separatism is often chosen. When it's allowed.
But is the Ku Klux Klan your only example?

Are we saying for whites or just about any group? Because if your angle is that there is basically only one group (KKK) and their branches for whites only groups then you are correct. And yes they are all a stupid construct in this day and age (this includes race specific scholarship funds). They can choose to do as they wish because it isn't my money or my time but I just don't think too much of them.

Around here it is more like the off shoot dummies. I am at work so I am certainly not going to search for where the compounds are, but in the rural counties here there is a big off shoot of the Aryan Brotherhood that own a compound and a big record label.

You guys just played an example.
First the topic was about the Republican party not having a historical candidate and then it turns into KKK talk. If it were about the Democrats no mention of the KKK would've been mentioned but here's the whole truth and I'm sorry the truth hurts...
Democrats are all for the minority as long as they stay on the plantation. That's bullshit. It's about equal rights not the color of anyone's skin. Rant over

I didn't start that turn. I just chimed in after the fork in the road.
