I don't know if a grand jury can go beyond the charge brought before them in the state of Texas. These articles refers to grand jury in this state is used for felony indictment, not misdemeanors. So how do they send it to a grand jury when it is a misdemeanor charge?

Interesting he's possibly going to be charged with the lesser domestic assault. If she did have a busted eardrum I would figure they'd seak the greater charge. Honestly who knows how much if any of this could be proven past a he said/she said.

There wouldn't even have investigation if it were two drunk hillbillies on North Hill. The cops would come to any $60,000 house in Akron and tell the people to shut up.
Especially if she was even drunker than him and screaming about non-existent injuries.
The only reason either of these incidents made news is that he is a celebrity.
