  • If John Kasich has a huge sweep from here out and at least gets his delegate numbers close to Cruz and Rubio maybe a deal could be worked out.

Remember Donald Trump would spit on the VP job.

The only state I could maybe see him winning is Wisconsin. Kasich has Walker's endorsement, and Walker is as about as loved in Wisconsin as Kasich is here.

  • If I were Donald Trump's campaign manager I'd advise you to make a statement. If I can't turn the United States around in 4 years I give you my pledge I won't run for a second term!

(in 4 years that will be forgotten even if he feels like running again but people would eat it up now)

  • I'm not sure that a candidate can give his delegates to a competitor in a brokered election. Maybe he can but I don't think it's binding.

They can more or less "suggest", but they aren't bound and can vote for whoever they want.

If Trump gets robbed the nomination, Hillary wins in November period.

  • Trump needs to be replaced. He is not going to be who all these Trump supporters

    think he will be.

He will lose to higgardly in one day, after all his baggage is loaded up into negative

    ads.

That's why so many dems want him to be the nominee. And it's a fact that the dems have

been saying "republican" ballot to vote for the most easy to beat selection on the ticket.

Then they will all vote for higgardly.

  • Meanwhile, folks in the Senate are starting to rally support for Cruz.

Trump must be dumped. He is a dem.

  • I don't like the idea of anyone giving delegates to anyone at all. Imagine if at the last moment Trump gives his delegates to Mike Huckabee?

It'll be the theocracy that some members on this board have wet dreams for.

  • Trump refuses to do any more debates. That doesn't surprise me. For all his talk about wanting a one on one with Cruz the next debate would only have 3 candidates and he could have went head to head with Cruz if he wanted. He didn't. Trump is a broken record in most of the debates: Win,win,win...I'm winning in the polls...Make America great again...or a constant stream of other generalities with no specifics. He got away with it when the field was crowded and you had a lot of candidates on the debate stage but as the field narrowed Trump started looking like a sore thumb. He skipped the debate in Iowa thinking he could coast but it cost him. Now he thinks he can coast again with having no more debates.

If Trump does win the nomination he better get himself focused with debating Clinton. That will be a one on one debate and this is not Clinton's first rodeo she knows how to debate. Trump will not be able to get lost in the crowd on these debates and he better be able to go into some specifics on how he will make America great again.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but this will be a fox debate correct? I did watch some Fox over the last few days and it seems to me they are lining up to shit on Donald Trump, but they still wanted to appear in the debate to bring in advertising money. Does that sound about right? Is there anything you guys still need you here and debate forum?

  • Trump's "Make America Great Again" has worn thin.

He's got nothin after that, so..... it's time for details, he's running and hiding from em.

  • Oh what are cruz' details?

Flat tax that nearly no human being believes in from a practical standpoint.

I think he's still banging the drum to reverse gay marriage and Roe versus Wade.

About the only positive, IMO, is keeping the debt ceiling intact.

  • Reality Check: Trump on spending cuts

    By Tami Luhby, CNNMoney

Trump has said the country can afford his tax cuts, which will add trillions to the nation's deficit, because he will cut waste, fraud and abuse. Asked on Thursday for specifics, he cited cutting down the Department of Education and the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as squeezing better discounts out of drug companies.

"Department of Education. We're cutting Common Core. We're getting rid of Common Core. We're bringing education locally. Department of Environmental Protection. We are going to get rid of it in almost every form ... Because of the fact that the pharmaceutical companies are not mandated to bid properly, they have hundreds of billions of dollars in waste," Trump said.

CNNMoney looked at this in January. It found that even if Trump cut the EPA and Education Department entirely, it would save less than 3% of the $3.7 trillion the federal government spent in the past year. The nation spent $90 billion on education and $7 billion on the EPA.

As for saving hundreds of billions from negotiating with pharmaceutical companies, that would be hard to do since Medicare is estimated to have spent $77 billion on drugs in 2015, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Total spending on drugs, which includes outlays by private insurers, was just under $300 billion in total in 2014, federal National Health Expenditures data.

Can Trump make up for his tax cuts by cutting two federal agencies and negotiating with drug companies? Our verdict: false.

  • Trump Says His Own 'Very Good Brain' Is His Foreign Policy Adviser. Allen West Responds.

Advising Donald Trump to surround himself with knowledgeable advisers in the realm of foreign policy, Allen West dropped a few names of experts he deemed worthy of such consultation.

Condoleeza Rice, Walid Phares, and Gordon Chang were all listed as foreign policy experts that West knows well, and described as the types of persons that Trump should seek counsel from in the dimension of international relations.

Calling on Trump to familiarize himself with what he describes as the "four elements of national power" - diplomatic, information, military, and economic - in order to understand how they come together and reinforce one another.

Asked if Trump would make a good leader in the area of foreign policy, West expressed reservations. Describing comments made by Trump on Wednesday in which the Republican front-runner said he consulted himself and his “very good brain” for foreign policy guidance as “flippant,” West called for a more serious response from the New York City billionaire.

“Well, right now with the statement he just made that you played, that’s very disconcerting for me,” said West. “Maybe some of the Trump supporters will be sending me nasty tweets, but I have to be very honest. There are friends of mine that are out there in uniform. There are relatives of mines in uniform, and we need to have people that are willing to sit down and listen to the right type of advice.”

“We’re suffering right now from a President of the United States of America that has not taken the counsel of generals and other foreign policy experts, and look at what is happening between the Iranian nuclear agreement, look at what is happening with Russia, Xi Jinping with China and the man-made islands being built in the South China Sea.

  • Trump's foreign policy big picture is the best in the field by far. Everybody else's is exactly the same

  • Trump does not know as much as he thinks he does. That is obvious when he said in the debates the military would do what he told them to do even if it was committing war crimes. After talking with people who knew more than him he changed that position the following day. His own good brain and only consulting himself are not enough and he needs to surround himself with good advisers.

  • Trump is the only person in the race Soros and Koch are afraid of. The only one to condemn both NAFTA and the TPP. Only one with common sense towards Russia and the middle east.

He has my vote all the way, I'm going to order a hat.

  • The only one who cares about the average American and not some special interest group
