  • Moochelle and her mooching Mother living in the White House on the Taxpayer dollar.

  • Well we have fat kids getting shit food at school and shit food at home.

  • so the gov fining schools because moochelles cowpie lunches SUCK?

you agree with that, or not?

  • The county I went to elementary in didn't have a dietitian (some school board members were pocketing the funds for the position) so we got to eat heinous shit like buttered texas toast with pepperonis on it for lunch. They then wondered why there were a bunch of fat kids who couldn't pass a fitness program. Allowing schools to feed kids crisco sandwiches to save money is not a good idea. Having oversight on the menu is a good idea.

  • I bet that a lack of physical activity across the board does 10 times the harm that bread and pepperoni could possibly do.

  • I remember school lunches as salisbury steak with mashed potatoes, green beans. Hamburgers with fries. Fried Chicken. Rolls with butter. Of course they had ice cream machines and most kids had just the rolls with butter and an ice cream sandwich for lunch. Of course there was mandatory Gym class and the internet/video games were far in the future.

Yep, kids used to play outside a hell of a lot more. That's not happening today (for better or worse) so the diet has to change with it. Unless they can find a way to get kids playing outdoors again.

We got lots of chances at physical activity. We had to go outside. This was well before kids got glued to electronic devices. Eating like slobs at school and at home was a big issue.

There would have to be a cataclysmic event for kids to put down the electronic devices and go outside. I was shocked to see kids playing sandlot football the other day because it is so few and far between now.

  • Side note: I had a gym teacher who served in Korea. His name was Mr. Mega (pronounced Mee-gah) and he used to say some hilarious shit to the fat kids who got the misfortune of being in his gym classes. There was a kid with the last name Bolling so he called him Bowling Ball. When his mom came in to bitch during our class, Mr. Mega called her son a "fat coward" in front of everyone haha.

  • He made a kid fish turds out of a urinal barehanded because he caught the kid mid-act.

  • Gym is mandatory through middle school here. Then two semesters in HS.

Something like a combination of 360 treadmill and oculus rift might do it, I'm thinking along those lines.

How much? How often? For me it was twice a week for an hour. Not enough. Though more than enough in winter!

Call of Duty would feature lots of heavy breathing and strokes.

    I can deal with it.

I can't remember if it was every day in elementary school. I think it was every day in middle school.

Either way, you need more physical activity than that

  • I graduated in 2005 and we had gym 5x per week for an hour per day. 2 years of gym were required to graduate.

I have hope that the late-20s crowd right now that are just starting or about to start families remember their childhood and force their kids outside. I know I will.

  • Shit back when I was a kid my dad used to give us 2 adult sized saws and told us to go find a dead tree to cut down. And we loved it! That was so much better than any phone app.
