Browns Board Mock Draft
-
First pick in the 6th round ...
The Cleveland Browns select Ben Braunecker - TE - Harvard
STRENGTHS Physical and mean as a blocker. Plays with good knee bend and hip explosion as inline blocker. Blocks to and thru the whistle and completely overwhelmed many of his opponents. Accelerates into routes with good push and is able to sink and cut with sharpness. Effective route adjustment against contact downfield. Understands how to use leverage to create space in his routes. Carries himself with some attitude.
WEAKNESSES
Was physically overwhelming much smaller players on the perimeter. Might not have anywhere near same success as a blocker against bigger, stronger opposition. Gets a little lazy with routes at times.
More of a blocker in schemes than a catching tight end but I feel he is a good acquisition in the 6th round ......excited to see him develop

I think we are waiting for TXag to pick again for 49ers......but since I have to go do business....I will make my pick here for the Vikings:
The Minnesota Vikings select: Tom Hackett Punter Utah.
It is a need for them, though in reality they may just get one from the UFA pool. But since there has been a small run on punters, I don't want them to get shut out.....and he is considered one of the top ranked players on the board.

49rs selected a guard/center in Glasgow....will pick next best at position....
so we can keep going
Denver Kirkland - OG - Arkansas

No problem--he (Kirkland) was my second choice (by a coin flip) and Glasgow was hidden with the centers and not OG on the by position thread. Just didn't see he was gone.
