I'm willing to give Erving a shot. He was set up to fail last year being played out of position with no position coach in a locker room that didn't respect the coaching staff.

Nope, it's just another good move by the Panthers GM - Norman is simply asking for too much money for a player who's not as important as the front7 of a defense. That kind of forethought is simply rare in today's NFL.

The GM's skill is why the Panthers were competitive with a DB and WR corps made up of street free agents.. because he is staying true to building inside-out both on offense and defense.
