Your problem is that after all this time, you still haven't caught up halfway to the number of Championships that the Cleveland area has won. Call us when you catch up halfway.

Irrelevant. The rise in Ohio Steeler bandwagon population is the result of the winning tradition the Steelers have built.

I don't know what your championships have to with this subject other than back in the olden days when the browns were winners, much of Western Pa. were browns fans.

There's really not much more to say about this.

Well...that is the way it is with all FRAKs.....they glom onto winning programs

I don't know what your championships have to with this subject other than back in the olden days when the browns were winners, much of Western Pa. were browns fans.

It was a discussion: once when the Browns were good, they probably had a lot of FRAKs (I would not have necessarily been aware of it as I came from here...and we didn't pay attention to the attitudes of people elsewhere). And now that the Steelers were more recently good, the same thing happens.

There's really not much more to say about this.

You could have said nothing at all and that too would have been fine.

It is funny because it is so true.

  • But, in 72, they were losing a playoff game vs those Raiders, and the immaculate decpetion reception happened.

The big accident that got the squealers into the super bowl. But guess how it happened. See, when the play happened,

two of the officials said "td"... but the others did not. So, the head referee went to the squealer's sideliine to use

the phone to the press box to talk to Art McNally, the NFL's supervisor of officials.

Actually, FYI, the Steelers did not get into the Super Bowl the year of the Immaculate Reception.....just setting the record straight.

  • That's apparently a Steeler cargo plane.

Loaded down with sheep, goats, and chickens (aka livestock lovers).

ah, you are correct, my mistake. They lost to Miami to fail to get there. Lost the conference championship

to Miami and failed to get there.

  • steeler fan delusions #436: Steeler colors are actually black and yellow, although even diehard Steeler fans will argue for hours to the contrary trying to claim the colors are black and gold (N.O. Saints colors). further evidence deep down they don't even like the Steelers either, just their manufactured "success".

*if the nfl were actually scripted and loosely rigged, just as the globetrotters also require the generals...could this millenium's Browns actually be intentional afcn cannonfodder?

They do that because gold is a lot easier to spell than yellow.

  • I refuse to buy Heinz Ketchup. Hunt's only.

I made my girlfriend give away a nice dress she bought because it was yellow and black.

I flip off drivers with Steelers license plates. Most of then shrug and go "What???" ... I just laugh.

Oh man, I always thought a Steeler license plate was an invitation to play bumper cars. No wonder why I'm always getting all these dirty looks from someone speaking fluent cave man.

Yet you somehow forgot that the Cavs seem to be confused about gold/yellow as well. The Lakers and Packers too. Dummies.

Wine and gold?...I don't know man, may be "whine" and gold if LeBron fails yet again to deliver a championship to the great city of Cleveland.

If you two geniuses knew what a dictionary was, perhaps you could look up "gold".

    gold

    (gōld)

    n.

    3. A light olive-brown to dark yellow, or a moderate, strong to vivid yellow.

    http://www.thefreedictionary.com/gold

So the Steelers, Cavs, Lakers, and Packers...Black and Gold, Wine and Gold, Purple and Gold, and Green and Gold are all correct designations.

You folks need to find something else to whine about.

  • Nope. It's yeller.

Its all about marketing. Name me one professional sports franchise that does use yellow as one of their prime colors that actually calls it yellow. Yellow must have some kind of negative connotation. I guess no team wants to be known as "cowardly".
