Day 3 thread

The Browns Board

  • I think Schobert will play ILB here

  • The fact POG has a "good feeling" about that German kid reinforces my belief that he is, in fact, absolutely awful at football.

  • Still not crazy about the Kessler QB pick, I really don't think he was close to BPA.

I understand that he was picked because he has a crazy high Completion %, but seems we could have gotten this guy later . . .

  • Schobert being graded better than our other picks yesterday, so that is nice.

We are taking pure production, aren't we?

  • are any of our picks going to be able to beat out what is on our roster already?

  • are any of our picks going to be able to beat out what is on our roster already?

Coleman #1 because our WRs on the roster fucking stink, everyone else....no

Not sure, but we'll find out.

  • I like the schobert pick. Here's hue's reaction:

You think we're loaded with talent on this Team ?

I'm thinking they're purging the Roster to change the Culture/Mindset with motivated high character players.

After they get rid of all the bad eggs, then they'll concentrate on serious talent upgrades - not to say they're not upgrading the talent on this 3 - 13 Team anyway.

Schobert is more of a "football player" than a numbers guy which is nice. I'd rather have Goodson but whatever.

  • We took "Crazy Joe" Schobert. fucking nice! Treats every play like his own personal war. LOVE THIS PICK!

    This

  • Ricardo louis WR from auburn

  • Ricardo Louis, WR, Auburn

SUMMARY: An on and off starter at Auburn, Louis was lost on the depth chart as an underclassman and best known as the receiver who caught the “Prayer at Jordan-Hare” in the win over Georgia (Nov. 2013). But with Sammie Coates off to the NFL and Duke Williams kicked off the team, Louis emerged from the shadows as Auburn’s top pass-catcher in 2015 and was productive despite poor quarterback play. He accelerates well in his routes with strong cuts in his breaks, but lacks nuance in his patterns and the film doesn’t show much route diversity. Although he is capable of the acrobatic grab due to his length and athleticism, Louis has shown unreliable ballskills over his career and there isn’t much that separates him as a player right now – late round size/speed developmental project who might benefit from a position switch to the secondary.

    4.39 - not too shabby

  • I don't know what the browns board bitches are bitching about. I'm really liking this draft.

  • Browns draft "interesting". Drafting projects and hoping they can mold them, sounds like a great plan for New England not Cleveland.

  • Would love to get Scooby Wright, Paired with the Schobert pick. Production and instinct.

When you suck, as the Browns do, you'd hope the team would draft at least one guy who isn't a project in the first two rounds.
