  • Listen Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls. A lot of you are bringing up the fact that this or that veteran player is being released and boy wouldn't they be better than what we have now.

The answer to this is "sure".......but that is not the direction that this Front Office wishes to go.

But hey.....our Front Office should be called The Cleveland Cougars, for, like Demi Moore or Sharon Stone or Courtney Cox etc.....these guys want to date younger guys, not older guys. And by older I mean anyone in their 30s. They are on a youth movement....with 14 draft picks that is obvious, and with the guys they cut, like Whitner and Dansby. Yes, maybe a few guys with experience will be allowed to hang around. But, the fact is, our guys and the jihadist suicide bombers want a lot of the same thing: all those 72 virgins.

  • If the word cougar hadn't been usurped to mean old broads with too much makeup hunting young drunk guys on the weekends, that actually wouldn't be the worst name if Cleveland decided on a re brand.

I actually thought that the new Carolina NFL team could take the name Cougars. I mean, the fact is, there are Cougars in the Carolinas, but there are no black Panthers.

There was a Carolina Cougars in the old ABA:

  • So basically what I said on that Slauson thread.

I hooked up with a cougar right after I turned 18... I liked it.

She didn't wear much make up... or anything else for that matter.

Perhaps. But you didn't say it with the Panache that I did. I mean, its all about the marketing and finding a good catchphrase. 😉

The parable about the toad and the scorpion comes to mind.
