I don't understand why this is so hard to understand for some folks. The problem is people get stuck with hearing the word "white" and go in turtle shell defense mode. The truth is hiring a bunch of the same, like-minded group of people to make decisions for a diverse nation of people is stupid, no matter the color, race, or anything else.

Diversity can even be bringing in people who don't fit part of the hive-mind of an organization or government, but I think you're fooling yourself if this happens. All I'm saying is when a group of people who all think the same way make decisions for a ton of people it creates stupid policies and even laws. I think anyone who has worked in customer service can relate to that.

So the need for diversity could just as easily be attained by adding more red haired people?

Cause that's not what I'm saying, and that's why I clarified. When people hear diversity the media and other people immediately turn to that idea as an affront on white people, but that's not the point and it shouldn't be. Do you understand the word clarification?

Homogeneous nations like Japan do fine without diversity.
No more is diversity needed in national security than is needed on an all black basketball team.
Both do just fine without it.

Ah yes, thank you for saying that! Japan has been a steady economic decline over 20 years, and per capita income is down almost 10% since 1990. People have high debts, terrible work life balance, overt instances of sexual abuse in public spaces, and overt racism. One of the factors causing this by most experts in the field? A structure in place of homogeneous individuals making decisions based on personal interest instead of to the benefit of the overall population:
