My wife tried to be political when we were first together. She joined the Women's Studies Student Association (WSSA). She went to a few meetings and said it was a gaggle of fat girls who are just trying to hook up with each other. Some stereotypes exist for a reason. The girls also tried to tell Jas what she should be upset about as a black woman (they were all white ladies).
She quit and has since pretty much given up on politics
