Browns Waive WR David Richards
-
David Richards- 6'3" 205lbs. takes roster spot held by Hartline. 2015 NFL combine ran a 4.68- 40. Richards in 2015 had 43 catches for 548 yrds. with 6 TD's. Was a teammate of Scooby at Zona & was a 2015 UDFA that was released from Atlanta Falcons..2$ beers for all..
Take a cheap unknown who has already been dropped for a known reliable but more expensive receiver. Yeah, makes cents.

I think I'm starting to understand moneyball.

I believe that one of the draftees is replacing Hartline. The guy they just signed is there to fill the spot of the low man on the totem pole as the WR depth chart shifted.

42.6 mil in cap space and it's David Richards.

For that they could have sign Keith Richards. Here he is kicking something up.

Yea, but this guy was more 4.7 in his 40, no? More linebacker speed.
If he can tackle keep him on.
-
Don't see him making the 53; but, who knows. Not even sure why they brought him in. Must have been a scout who liked him coming out of college or something.

Look at his 2015 stats. Richards sounds like a dink & dunk specialist. 3 of his games they have him with 11 13 & 1 game 17 receptions for 177 yards. I think coaches know what they are looking for with our 3 QB's that are not deep ball experts.. Only receiver am counting in is Coleman. The rest, nothing will surprise me..

The Zombo (the
of sadness) pressure was just to much..WR David Richards pinnacle career comes to a end today for the signing of a Kicker 🥷 Patrick Murray.. -
I will always remember fondly the David Richards thread and how I doomed his Browns career.
This kicker sounds like finally some real competition for Coon Dawg.
Murray, who participated in the Browns minicamp this week on a tryout basis, is 5-7, 182 pounds and in his third NFL season out of Fordham. Originally signed by Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent in 2014, Murray appeared in 16 games with the Buccaneers as a rookie. He converted 20 of 24 field goal attempts and all 31 PATs for 91 points. He spent last season on injured reserve and was waived by Tampa Bay on May 16, 2016. A native of Mahwah, N.J., Murray graduated from Don Bosco Preparatory High School.
Dude is puny though.

We don't need blocked kicks

David Richards was with us during our trials of life. Rest assured though he lives in our memory and will always be remembered as that speed receiver that split opposing defenses winning the hearts of us fans. Good luck David Richards thank you for your undevoted service and even though you didn't win any games, you'll always be a champion to us.
God bless.

David we hardly knew ye. Nice hands though.

In his lone TB season, excepting the 0-19 yard range where he had no attempts, he missed one kick in each of the ten-yard segments that Kicker stats are broken into... weird...
