Browns final OTA's came to a close today. Hue decided as a team they would do a team charity golf outing on Thursday as their last activity. YEA HUE!! Two 4th rounders WR Ricardo Louis & TE Seth Devalve have signed their rookie contracts. No contract details avalible. A 3 day mini camp next week will wrap up off season program till summer training camp. Where Hue promises he will announce a starting QB.(at sometime 😛)

Are there any rookies unsigned at this point?

Yep, four. The Rookie pay scale is bottled up by a few late 2rd & 3rds. not signed. None of our 3rd round picks DE Carl Nassib, OL Shon Coleman, QB Cody Kessler & one at top of 4th round OLB Joe Schobert. ARE ONLY BROWNS DRAFTEE's NOT SIGNED.. Edit---To our golf fans, The Browns are all participating in The 17th Annual C.Browns Foundation of Northeast Ohio Charity Golf Event. We actually had 8 of our allotted 10 OTA's, so in reality we gave up 2 practices. CUZ HUE SAID SO 😍.

  • Browns Veteran Players will join 14 draft picks,11 Plus UTFA's & to my count 6 FA signings for a 3 day Veterans Mini Camp starting Tuesday 6-7 thru Thursday 6-9-16. 5 QB's..7 of the 12 WR's have not made a NFL catch (not including Pryor's 1). G. Barniage will be out with sports hernia surgery so that leaves the TE battle for DeValve, Bibbs, Telfer, JP Holtz & Hamlett a open camp to decide the lead for the #2 TE. Let's get to training camp with 90 healthy & When the good news happens be sure to tell us about it here. Go Browns!!

  • The Browns will take the field with most of their 90-man roster and four tryout players when the team's three-day veteran minicamp begins this afternoon.

    The four tryout players are:

TE Kevin Haplea - 6-3, 245 (Florida State)

    TE Arthur Lynch - 6-5, 250 (Georgia)

    K Patrick Murray - 5-7, 182 (Fordham)

    RB Rajion Neal - 5-11, 210 (Tennessee)

Lynch and Murray carry two years of experience while Haplea, who had a brief stint with the Browns last season, and Neal have one.

The Browns will hold three practices over the next three days before breaking for the summer. The team will return at the end of July for the start of training camp.

  • Off topic the talking heads on nfl network are saying the starting qb for the broncos just might be Trevor Semen.

  • Well it is baseball season. Vet. Camp did start today. So what would be wrong with RG3 "hanging one just a bit outside". the fence that is. RG3 decided to throw one away today. Cleared a 16 foot fence. Some say he can't hit the broad side of a barn. But how about a Garage 😎. Of course RG3 took it in high spirits with a fist pump & a Yes!!.. Kessler working with QB guru Tom House. WR Jordan Payton will not be at camp. When drafted FO knew would still be in school but Hue & Saunders can coach him up to speed. Hang Shon Coleman on the contract signed list..Leaving only 3 left not signed (Nassib,Kessler & Schobert). Loads of coach & players interviews at CB.com

I think he means to use it as a bonding experience. Which is fine.

I just wonder if it is one of those golf tournaments that have strippers out on the course to wash your balls with their snatch.

That might be a good idea, it would make it easier for a bloodhound to find The Lost Ones.

Balls. They often get lost in golf games. Well marriages too but that's another message board...

  • Lots of day 2 at CB.com. The teaching of our previous downfalls continues. Understanding Situational Football. Being Poised enough to understand self-inflicted wounds are a major part of this game & now turning those happening into part of a winning formula. Hue may know this team better than some fans 😉. Coons out, weary leg will lead to tweak. Former Bucs Patrick Murray was brought in as walk-on b4 camp. JT has day off. Not missing a snap in 9 yrs. & 8959 total snaps, Hue's not changing a thing VK. Couple interesting HueJax quotes. Reporter told Hue "looked like McCown was throwing ball better than any QB" Hue response "Your entitled to your opinion." 😮. Later HuJax quotes "RG3 don't have any reservations about anything in our offense HE can't do" 😍. For our camp fighting fans. Hue quotes "can't fight in game, (so sounds like) OL Conor Boffelli will not be allowed to do so at practice either" Ding! Ding!

  • Off topic I apologize...

The Broncos wanting to give qb Trevor Semen more reps Elways screams.."we need more Semen."

  • Not letting guys fight in practice is kinda gay.

Indeed. You want the guys to be mixing it up. It shows that they give a shit and are trying.

  • Camp fighting is a waste of time. Everything stops for the duration and then some.

Teach them to control their anger and channel it into the next play.

Exactly...... I don't recall any Patriots 'camp fighting' clips airing on NFL Network. That's usually reserved for Rex's team.

You don't remember the Aaron Hernandez knife fights during OTAs?

  • I remember Hue's former team and another successful team fighting fairly recently. They both seem to be doing ok. Texans had a fight last year and made the playoffs just off the top of my head. Belichik has a well-oiled machine. Right now in Cleveland, one of our best assets is our energy and rookies that haven't yet taken in the losing culture. Let's not kill that.

  • Pick #93 QB Cody Kessler signs his rookie 4 yr. contract. 3.4 mill. 600 k signing bonus. Whats the cost of the RG3 revival you ask? #1 Goff-27.9 mill. with 18.6 M signing bonus..#2 Wentz--26.67 mill. with 17.6 signing bonus. #26.P. Lynch-9.47 mill. with 5.09 signing bonus. Go Cody Go!!

How'd that fighting thing work out for Cinci???

And O'Brien ripped his fighters new ones after their joint practice debacle vs. WSH.

Any energy channeled to fighting is non-productive... period.

5 straight playoff appearances. Yeah, what a disaster. And how'd it work out for Pittsburgh?

What's not productive is a team full of eunuchs, as the old timers so desire.

My friend that played at OSU has told me they had mini scuffles on nearly every play in practice. I've seen film of LSU's practices and it's the same kind of thing every time they bust out the "big cat drill." I used to report on A&M's practices and remember watching a fight between OLs and Jim Turner (of 3 first rounders in a 3 year span coached fame) was positively giddy.

And that got him fired in the Incognito affair at Miami. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000326599/article/jim-turner-fired-by-miami-dolphins-after-wells-report

Yeah, real productive for the OL poor Phins after that happened.
