Life has become idiotic. $300,000 + ????? More than some people make in 5-7 years. This just seems sooooo bizarre

Some? More than most people make in 5-7 years. It is far more than I have made in the last 5-7 years.

Yea, far less the last few years. It has been very slow and a lot of things have changed to #@&*up the revenue stream.

The Baltimore Ravens' failure to study the rule book has cost them a week of offseason practices.
The Ravens held at least one drill earlier this month in which rookies were in pads. The team claimed it didn't know rookie minicamps were under the same "no pads" umbrella as normal OTA practice rules, but that never made much sense. They've paid the price for violating the rules. The Ravens will forfeit a week of OTA practices, which were scheduled from June 1-3, and the organization and coach John Harbaugh were fined. The Ravens were fined $343,057 and Harbaugh was fined $137,223 according to ESPN's Jim Trotter.
That's three of 10 OTA practice sessions they're giving up.
“We made a mistake and we are sorry for that,” the team said in a statement. “We accept the NFL discipline.”
"I told the players, I said, 'There's not one guy in this room, coaches the same thing, not one player or coach in this room that should worry about it for one second, shouldn't have any anxiety about it because it's on me,'" Harbaugh said. "It's completely me. It was my decision, it was my effort, and that's the situation we're in. We'll adjust, we'll adapt, and we'll still become the best football team we can be."
The violation came when the Ravens had their rookies in pads on May 6 for what was reported as five minutes of a punt drill. Teams can't have pads on before training camp, a rule that was put in the collective-bargaining agreement in 2011. Harbaugh has been the Ravens coach since 2008. That it happened during a practice with rookies, who are unlikely to know the CBA rules, doesn't appear to be a coincidence.
Coaches complain about the lack of practice time on the field under the new CBA. The Ravens just had a significant portion of their practice time taken away for trying to get around the restricted new rules.

Meanwhile our HC just gave up two OTAs... voluntarily.

Maybe the Ravens can just attend a couple golf tournaments.

  • I hate the Rats. Football is funny. The Rats swept the Steelers, the Browns without question should have swept the Rats, the Bengals did sweep the Rats, the Steelers swept both Browns and Bengals. Go figure.

Can someone on the Browns let friggin Tomlin borrow their game plan vs. the Rats? LOL

Yes, my problem is that I have always been far more concerned about helping my client's (often to my own financial deficit) than doing the money grubbing hustle.

It is a problem for me, being a person of high character with concerns for others.

Perhaps I should only focus only on my bottom line and be damned with ethics and morals and principles.

By implication that apparently is the con way of things...which perhaps you approve of.

  • Perriman has a torn ACL - out a second year.

Not to wish injury on anyone, I remember a handful of people screaming for us to take him in the late first. That was worth a chuckle.

Believe me I chuckled. Sammy Watkins with his injury history , looking a little more rosey. But that damn Julio Jones ...for Christ sakes we were so blind

I definitely wanted us to consider him late in round 1 after originally hoping we'd consider him for round 2 (prior to some good pre-draft workouts). If I knew he was going to get injured - that wouldn't have been the case. The thing that made him intriguing to me was he had good size and speed our WR Corps lacked while Josh Gordon's reliability here remained on trial in search of countless alibis, excuses and conspiracy theories all centered around dismissing why he's always put himself in harm's way. I've been hearing don't worry we have Josh Gordon since he tore up junktime in our 4-12 season back in 2013. I also read him promising we'd see the best version of him yet when he returned in 2014 to a team that was 6-4 without him - only to go 1-5 after his return. 4 forgettable performances, no TDs plus 1 internal suspension confirmed where Gordon continued to prioritize his football career despite his long trend of empty promises.

I don't consider Ozzie Newsome to be someone that's dumb with the draft/free agency or understanding the WR position when I look at his resume. A big part of that to date includes his luck with high round draftees/free agents not getting injured long term. The fate of his Perriman choice isn't a case of a disappointing skill-set as much as it's a bad luck-Kellen Winslow/Keith Byars type of NFL beginning. I hate Baltimore so I'm okay with them finally experiencing the type of thing the Cleveland Browns has repeatedly experienced since we got our team back. Their first round guy got injured and they had a 5-11 record.

Just 1 draft later, the guys from Harvard in our front office and Hue prioritized the WR position in a passing era. I'm more than okay with that.

You do realize that 2015 was the first season that Julio did not miss a start... right? In all he's missed 16 over 5 years.

    Sammy? Three starts in two-years.

Watkins gets a bad rap despite playing injured and whatever he's been sentenced to at QB there in Buffalo. He's actually done pretty good there.
