Here is my own entry into this:

    A. Who do you think is the Greatest Team for a single season?

#1 1985 Chicago Bears....in memoriam for Buddy Ryan....(even if he hadn't died they would have been it.)

#2 1984 SF 49ers. Also only 1 loss team...and thumped Dolphins in SB

    #3 1972 Miami Dolphins. Undefeated.

    B. Who do you think is the Greatest Dynasty?

    #1 1960s Packers

    #2 1940s/50s Browns

    #3 1970s Steelers

    C. Who do you think is the all time first and second team at each position?:

QB: First String? If winning matters then it has to be: Otto Graham

    Second String: Tom Brady

Fullback: First string: Jim Brown...played from the FB position

Second string: Jim Taylor...did the same

Running back: First string Walter Payton

    Second String Emmitt Smith

Second string...2 names: Don Hutson and Paul Warfield

Offensive Tackles: First String...2 names Anthony Munoz and Orlando Pace

Second string...2 names: Jonathan Ogden and Joe Thomas

Offensive Guards: First string...2 names John Hannah and Bruce Matthews

Second string...2 names Gene Upshaw and Mike Munchak

    Centers: First string Jim Ringo

    Second string: Jim Otto

Defensive Ends: First string...2 names Deacon Jones and Carl Eller

Second string...2 names Gino Marchetti and Bruce Smith

Defensive Tackles ( or Nose Tackles): First string...2 names Reggie White and Joe Greene.

Second string...2 names Merlin Olsen and Alan Page (debated also about Bob Lilly and Randy White)

  • Although I'm sure Reggie played a little DT, he was a DE. And he is first string without a doubt.
