Campaign contributions

Trump spent four times as much on hats than he did on campaign organization LOL!
Trump skeptics are laughing at what was discovered in their most recent finance reporting as evidence that Trump is just not very serious about actually winning.
Meanwhile, spending on the 84-person staff and field organizing barely increased from the previous month, to just $392,000 and $432,000, respectively. The campaign dropped much more — $1.8 million — on hats and other merchandise.By comparison, the Hillary Clinton campaign in July spent $2.9 million on its 703-person payroll and $25.8 million on media.Does that sound like he’s more interested in winning the election, or spreading his “brand”? Hillary is still beating him in funding, even though he has all that “star power” and supposed brilliance in marketing:

There's sacrifices you have to make when you don't take all that special interest money. Every stupidly rich person in the country has donated the maximum to Hillary's campaign - many going beyond that to super PACs.
Still, they're in a virtual tie and Trump is trending upwards. Will likely take a solid lead in the next couple rounds of polls in the wake of more Clinton scandal hitting the news.

The ace in the hole for Trump has always been how terrible of a presidential candidate Clinton is....she had trouble putting away an unknown old socialist in the primaries....and Trump running such a bad campaign to this point and still being competitive only shows how weak Clinton is....

And vice versa. And isn't that just a little bit depressing. 90% of people will be voting for a candidate based on not wanting the other one.

Since Trump started taking outside contributions he has shed staff and increased the rent on the same space fivefold. But, of course, being a Trump property it must be lavishly appointed:

So be honest, has anyone here contributed to a candidate or a political party in the last 10 years and do you plan on doing it for this election cycle?
And tell us who if you've got the stones.

I don't donate to parties or candidates. Might be able to tolerate a candidate more than others but I like none of them enough to burden my wallet with helping their campaign.

- Apparently I'm the only one with "stones" (or only one to contribute to a campaign ever).
- Someone has to pay for Trump's "Cabinet" room... corner floor space on a top floor in Manhattan ain't cheap... and then there's the yuge mahogany(?) meeting table... someone is paying for that... someone in addition to the poor schlub in the unfinished basement (Is that even to code?).
Trump campaign HQ employees have increased like 20% (low 70-something to mid-80's IIRC) while the tab for Tower space has quadrupled. Small taters in the grand scheme? Sure, but Trump surrogate answers aren't making sense.
Speaking of "cabinet room"... as far back as the GOP convention word was Trump would announce his major cabinet nominees. Has he?

I think I heard that he had picked a bunch of industry types for cabinet spots but I could be off.
Edit: No picks yet just banter about who might get positions.

We don't donate $$$$$ to conservative campaigns... we donate to more local causes.
You know where the money goes, and the impact is far greater. I campaigned for
George W. twice, the only time I ever have actually helped a campaign.
Our Constitution is at stake, corruption in dems is rampant, corruption in our gov is all over the obaMao
federal level, Bloomberg and Soros etc etc, are calling the shots for liberal media and liberal
anti groups. They are trying to buy control of America.
I need to go buy a Trump hat.

crap. Now I may have to buy five as an investment !

You could probably add a tinfoil lining and make a killing.

Well, higgardly the scum isn't man OR woman enough to have a hat at all.
A hat would further scramble her screwed up brain waves, and weigh her feeble
self down to having to be carried up stairs on a strecher.
Maybe she's slowly turning into a zombie.

I think I told everybody when and for whom I've donated didn't I? I have not donated for a while and trying to decide now if I should and if so to whom.- Apparently I'm the only one with "stones" (or only one to contribute to a campaign ever).

('Cause one is never quite sure if one is using "whom" proprerly?)
Apologizes to my stones brother... missed your "coming out" post...
