Yes, we are all well aware of this history. But, lets face it.....if Paul Brown says that the team was named for Joe Louis....then there is clearly a basis for claiming it was named for Joe Louis......and even if PB later says that story was a bit disingenuous, it was still a fact.
Browns fans simply accept the idea that the team was essentially, in some form or another, named after both men. They are, after all, the Browns, not the Brown.
