I realize you think you're a big shot because you took the PE/FE exam or whatever. In reality it means jack shit, just like your degree. What matters is real skills and experience - something I happen to have but unfortunately many engineers don't, but I hope that PE exam makes you feel good inside

Frankly it's funny that you don't consider software engineering "real engineering" (I mean I graduated with a dual computer engineering/computer science but what does it matter - I've always wanted software)
You do what some old fuck tells you do to, meanwhile I design and implement algorithms to solve a wide variety of problems.
I'm working on a "MagicFragment" for a personal Android project of mine (that will be open sourced in time) that probably consists of more "engineering" than you will do in your entire career.

I mean - 90% of servers and 70% of mobile devices have some of my work on it at this very moment. You're probably using software to solve problems for you that is running on top of an operating system that I've contributed to.

Well woody as much as I wish that was the case, since I'm actually talented at what I do and at critical thinking/problem solving - I do stuff, I answer the questions on stack overflow (Google will find you proof if you must)

As I've said, there's more engineering in said magic fragments than you'll do in your entire career. Nothing like it exists, I'm the guy who made it possible.

I've done all the coursework say, an electrical engineer does - calc 1-3, diff eq, linear algebra, physics for engineers 1 & 2,microelectronic system design, etc, etc.
Of course it doesn't matter what you study it all means jack shit no matter what engineering field you're in. If you feel otherwise you're less talented than I thought...
