I'm no expert in the Philadelphia Eagles but I remember a few:

8.a. the Eagles were formed around the same time as the Steelers 1933

      10. QBs I remember Van Brocklin and Cunningham (not sure if he's HOF), I do know Jaws, Ron Jaworski from Lakawana, NY he came to YSU two years after I started there, great QB we were DII then but he was MVP of the Senior Bowl, drafted by the Eagles and led them to the Super Bowl under Dick Vermeil. Later played for the LA Rams, great guy.

GO BUCKEYES, BROWNS, INDIANS, CAVS, YSU, NAVY and yes I like ND!

1933 and Steelers are correct.....but what about the defunct one?

Van Brocklin is correct, neither Cunningham nor Jaworski in HOF.

Wasn't he the last player NOT to wear a facebar? Tough little dude but of course back then they were all little dudes compared to today. I remember in 5th grade I had a single bar football helmet around 1959ish.

The 1964 NFL Championship BROWNS only had two 270 pound guys on the team both DEs (looked it up long ago).

The Eagle is the national bird.

Philadelphia... Birthplace of our Nation. The city where the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were created. The iconic Liberty Bell. The Continental Congress in Philly in 1776 chose the Eagle at the recommendation of some Pa. lawyer.

                      Is that correct?

While yes, the Eagle is the symbol of the nation, more specifically, at that time, 1933, during the Great Depression, the Eagle was the symbol of the National Recovery Department, a cornerstone organization of FDR's New Deal. That is where the Eagle name directly came from.
