  • Mccown has been the best qb on the roster all year so far so it's an upgrade and didn't mccown throw for a franchise record againat blt last year?

    Yep I am a homer and have sunshine and rainbows in my ass. I think there is a reasonable chance McCown can have a winning record with this team...............I am pausing here to let you quit laughing

    He was not terrible here last year. Our record sucked but it was largely not on him. With a team of midget receivers he managed a 64% completion rate, 94% QBR., threw for 2109 yards and had 12 TD's vs 4 INTs in 8 games. Double that and the stats put him top 12 QB last year. Win loss is NOT just on the QB.

    This year he will have Pryor, Coleman and soon Gordon along with Barnidge to throw to and I think that is a pretty good upgrade to people who sucked so much I struggle to remember their names.

    We might try to do him a solid and go out and pick up an actual NFL center. Erving could maybe carry the new guys jock or something. Wisnewski was probably sitting on the Philly bench laughing his balls off on the 10 foot tall shotgun snap.

    All true, the only problem is we have no Oline. The next games will be much tougher that the Eagles. i'd be surprised if we win another game.

  • Yeah McCown played ok last year but he held the ball to long and looked like Lazarus on a few occasions. With this O-Line I'm afraid J.C. might not be able to help him.

  • Please, who was it that said jeff fisher is a good coach? Wow. They are right behind us as the worse team in football. You know the rams? Yeah that team that has been rebuilding for years and years and years with a gazzilion draft picks as well. Something wrong with the science in both FOs. In other words neither know wtf they're doing.

    He will have wr's to throw to this next game. vs the ratbirds?

  • I've been against griffin since we got him to be fair. I understand the "potential" is great from him. all the arm talent, athleticism and flashy play is enticing but it's the rocks up stairs that have me concerned he has all the tools of a once in a decade QB and none of it is put together right. We didn't want to spend on a qb so we got the scraps. Gamble didn't pay off 5 games and an offseason as proof.

    But mccown is still and always has been a better qb than griffin with the exception of 2012 where griffin played a throwing back. I dont know what you really where your steering the conversation but i wanted paxton lynch to sit behind mccown this year instead of coleman literally swap coleman with paxton and i'd be stoked for our future. (except horton...fuck him) Too bad...

    There in year three, finally snagged their center piece and can finally start forming their identity in a sport where it is much more difficult to do so. Who do you think is going to do better this year, us or them?
