  • Not to mention Joani Harbaugh, the sister of those crackpots, is married to Indiana basketball coach, Tom Crean.

    Now THAT'S a family reunion I don't want to attend.

    John doesn't bother me. Jim on the other hand...

    Jim is an arrogant asshat on the order of Saban. The only thing Jim does that I have enjoyed is sticking his thumb in the SEC's eye with his "satellite camps".

    It will be very interesting to see if Jim can wear out his UM welcome as fast as he did his Stanford and 49er welcomes. It will be tough due to his maze and blue roots, and the long drought that "school up north" has endured... but I think Jim may have another gear and pull it off.

    Eh, but like Saban you (figuratively) can't deny the man can coach. The NFL is full of ego and that's why he got the boot, but he is THE MAN at Michigan right now. He's still gotta beat OSU to stick around long-term, but in literally 1 season turned UM from perennial losers to outright BCS contenders. That's why I think he went back down to college in the first place when he could have had another gig in the NFL easily.

    Hell, take away arguably the dumbest play a punter could make last year and they could have sniffed the BCS playoff last year too with a Big10 championship win.

  • Yes, both Harbaughs can coach... same for Saban. Did you catch the latter's public dressing down of Kiffin? Class act...

    That said... UM wasn't all that close last year. With the exception of their bowl game they lost to every quality team they faced. Doesn't matter how bad you stomp the lesser teams you face.

    I honestly expect the same this year. Their current #5 ranking mystifies me. October 1 brings their first test of the 2016 season when they host Wisconsin.

    She was WASTED when it happened. I happened to be at an upscale restaurant sitting at the bar talking about sports next to a random guy she was really good friends with, and she went through a bad breakup. I listened to her rant for a good 20 minutes, and He told her we should kiss, and we did, and that was that. Nothing else happened.

    • Jim Harbaugh doesn't like to release a depth chart. Colorado, Michigan's next opponent, had some fun with that by listing fictitious names on its depth chart.

    Names like Carl Spackler and Danny Noonan, Travis Bickle, Lloyd Christmas, James Bond and Happy Gilmore.

    At right guard: Gillette Sure.

    • Shockingly, Harbaugh was not amused.

    "In our preparation for Colorado, we've had a hard time working humor into our preparation," Harbaugh said. "I was trying to imagine how many people sat around and how many hours they worked on it."

    Actually, one person sat around. That would be sports information director David Plati.

    If he took time away from game-planning to do the depth chart, I'll agree with Harbaugh, Colorado is in trouble.
