    5. What 3 players that made the Pro Bowl with the Pats also played for the Browns? Modern day: Willie McGinnist (sp?). Way back: Babe Parelli per the above.

Check on both....with Ray Clayborn that is all of them.

    6. What 3 first round draft picks of the Patriots played for the Browns? Likely that McGinnist is one. He is one. Two others. One is kind of a trick....think AFL/NFL

    7. A. How many times have the Indians and the Red Sox played each other in postseason play? Intraleague post-season only started in '69... We did not participate until the 90's... During our 4-year, 90's run we met in round one, 3 times winning twice.

NO....and FYI, there were the occasional postseason intraleague games prior to 1969.

    B. Who has won the most of these series? 2-1

    8. The Indians have been know by 3 other names actually. What are these names? Forest Cities, Naps, and Staleys... 🙂 ONLY Naps is right.

the Forest Cities were an NL franchise that went defunct in the 1800s.

    9. The Red Sox were also known by another name. What was that name? Red Stockings? NO

    10. A. How many times have the Red Sox won the World Series? 7??? NO

    B. How many times have they lost the WS? 7??? NO

    11. A. How many times have the Indians won the World Series? '48 was the last, some earlier success.... 3? NO

    B. How many times have they lost it? 3? '97, '95, and '54, Check...including all the right years.

    12. A. What year did the Indians have their best winning pct. ever (regular season) '54... won 111 games (a record for decades) in a shorter, 154 game season Check

    B. What year did the Indians have their worst winning pct ever? ???

    13. A. What year did the Red Sox have their best winning pct. ever? ???

    B. What year did they have their worst winning pct ever? ???

I will admit, I think these last 3 are probably bad questions.

    14. Two of the top 5 all time Red Sox winningest pitchers also spent a long stint with the Tribe. Name these two pitchers.

    IIRC Tiant moved to the Sox from us;

    Tiant is one.

    15. One of the Red Sox 5 all time leading hitters spent a long stint with the Tribe. Name this player. Surely not Ken "The Hawk" Harrelson...

NO, and don't call me Shirley.

Bonus: What 5 persons have managed both the Indians and the Red Sox? Francona, Dark, McCarthy,

    Young Tito, yes.

Second Chance Saloon. Here are unanswered questions so far:

1.A. What is the Pats/Browns all time regular season head to head record?

    6. Besides Willie McGinest, what 2 other Pats 1st round draft choices played for the Browns. Hint: one half of this is sort of a trick question....as this person never played for the Pats.

    7. A. How many times have the Red Sox and Indians met in post season play before this year?

    8. What other name besides The Indians, the Blues, and the Naps has the Tribe been known by?

Hint: neither Spiders or Forest Cities is correct.

    9. What one other name have the Red Sox been known as?

12 B. What year did the Indians have their worst record? Margin of error will apply.

13 A&B. I am going to forego asking this....too obscure: Note that the answers to this original question is that Red Sox had their best record ever in 1912 at .691 (105-47-2), and their worst record in 1932 .279 43-111

    15. B. Which of the Red Sox 5 all time leading hitters also played a long time with the Indians? Hint....just like B with Cy Young, think old school

Bonus: Besides Terry Francona and John McNamara, what 3 other persons also managed both Red Sox and Indians? Hint: two are probably obscure and difficult....one other is definitely not obscure.

    B. What is the record in those series?

Raymond Clayborne OK, so, it is actually what 3 other Pats first rounders played for the Browns. I did not think he was a 1st round pick...but he was. So McGinest, Clayborn, and still 2 others then. My bad.

    7. A. How many times have the Red Sox and Indians met in post season play before this year?

    Twice NO

    1971...no, not close

Lou Boudreau Check...he is the well known one.

    What series?

Not sure how that happened. This should be part of question 7.....what is the head to head record in RS/Indians postseason series

  • 7. A. How many times have the Red Sox and Indians met in post season play before this year?

I will sort of give it to you.....partially. While officially that may be the correct answer......in reality....there was one other time these teams met in the "postseason".
