  • So this is supposed to be where the guy named Jesus Christ, who we know existed, was laid to rest?

Which we knew exactly where it was just couldn't physically see it for a few hundred years, yes.

Ah o.k. Well if the skeleton jumps out and starts dancing, let me know.

  • You think there's actually going to be a skeleton there? I mean, I've seen at least 75 ribs, hundreds of finger and toe bones, and thousands of teeth...

It will be a complete body with no decomposition because...

  • Mohammed has a tomb too, so I guess that means Islam is true as well.

  • Islam and Christianity and Judaism are all along the same lines. If one is right then they're all at least kinda right.

God of Abraham etc, sure. Though, if Christianity is right, with the *new* testament, it means the other are also kinda wrong. If Judaism is right that god is still the same god of killing first borns and throwing locusts at problems, then the others are kinda wrong. If islam is right...fuck knows.

Always fun to break out the south park "who was right" clip:

They all go back to Abraham with the fork in the road being in both Judaism and Christianity we believe Isaac was the miracle child born of supernatural means born to Sarah way past her child bearing years...Abraham had another son Ishmael he fathered with a servant girl Hagar which Islam claims to be the promised child....In Judaism they await the Messiah while Christians await the Messiah's return. The bible in the OT paints two pictures of the Messiah one of the suffering servant who comes and takes the sins of the people and also of being a king of kings. We believe it paints two pictures because he comes twice. He came the first time for the sins of the people and now Christians with Jews await for him to come as the king of kings...

At least the food will be good then. Just remember to take your hoi sin sauce.

  • Although I believe in hell I never saw as preaching it to try and frighten people into the faith was good. It should frighten people though, any thinking person. There are concepts we cannot understand such as eternity. Eternal separation from God is frightening enough for me, I don't even need any of the other things the bible speaks of. We are living in a grace period age and the door is always open for anyone in this life to change their minds and we see atheists become believers and admittedly sadly some believers become atheists but the point I am making we have a free will choice right now in the grace period we are living in. That is until death and then it is too late. The thief on the cross who was forgiven clearly shows that door is open to all until they make the step into eternity. Then your fate is sealed.

I like the atheists on the BB. They have been respectful to me and my beliefs but make their views clear. I understand that. They are no dummies they are smart but they are not wise. If they were wise they would take the lifeline being thrown to them. Eternity is a long time to be wrong about this.

No that is what turned me to the solution to the problem.

  • Religion doesn't like it when you think.

  • OBF, I am wise enough to realize a long con. Baffle people with tales about fanciful nonsense then hold a long term threat over their heads. Keep the money and power train rolling for generations.

If I were a scumbag, I would consider starting a church to hustle the scared.

I go to purgatory/hell/valhalla/a Quiznos. Whatever the one right religion deemed to happen to you when you die.

I don't worry about intangible problems. Mortgage and bills are much scarier than the imaginary place with the horned red guy.

Depends which pays more at the time. I think scaring people with the threat of demons will make the wallet come out of the pocket faster.
