I would assume he would only go into coverage on rare occassions. He does look quick, albeit slightly akward, but of course he will play lb, where else could he play in a 3-4?

I'm happy with our picks. I had ruled Mack out since I was sure we had no chance at him, but man was I happy we got him. I'm probably the only person who was happy at Panini's downtown cleveland before the Tribe game when his name was announced (everyone seemed to want Beanie for some reason).

Robiskie is a stud. Don't know a lot about the other guys so far but no major blunders I can see.

We may have been able to get more out of our trade downs, but we didn't, so whatever. Can't win them all.

Getting those 3 Jets players, one of whom will start and the DE will start or immediately be our best backup, was also certainly a pleasant surprise. We filled a lot of needs yesterday and hopefully that continues today.

Spoken like a true insider! I'm sure you know that is the reason they were not picked as high as expected.

We simply don't know all the reasons GM's and coaches passed on Maualuga. It's probably a combination of things and not that "They weren't as good as some people want them to be". I think the ability is there and I'm sure many coaches felt that way. The guy can play football. But due to the character issues I imagine some thought the possibilty of problems and the bust factor were way too great.
