Exactly, I doubt Woody would know what to do when confronted by a bush.

We needed 16 credits of HU/SS, at least 6 humanities and at least 3 at 300 level or higher.

AP credits covered most of it, luckily. It allowed me to work one winter semester for Honda

Did you have to take a foreign language? I forgot I had to take 3 German courses. In hindsight, I wish I had taken spanish. Would help me to understand all of the illegals who have taken over this country due to Obamao.

Closest I got was philosophy of cognitive science, that is, the morals of artificial intelligence etc.

I believe Michigan had a 2-3 years of foreign language requirement (or strong recommendation, I forget which).

I took Spanish from 8th-10th grade. I was signed up for Spanish IV and then I learned I didn't need it. Dropped that shit and took AP Comp Sci instead.

I took the placement test for Spanish at Michigan thinking I could get some credit. I didn't remember near enough. When I got to the listening portion I knew I was boned haha

There is too much of this being reported nationwide to brush it off as being isolated incidents.

Also look at all the students protesting a legitimate election in a democracy. What are they wanting to accomplish? A do-over? It doesn't work that way. And for all the hand wringing and sky is falling drama coming out of the left with Trump's election in four years he will be evaluated on his record and there will be another vote.

The "news" sources you frequent actively look for this stuff to constantly being it up. It makes it look much worse than it is without ever giving time to the counterpoint. You think liberal media made Trump look worse than he is, right? Same principle.

And again, the guy you voted for called for protests when Obama was elected in 2008. Just for some perspective

The guy I voted for was not the guy I voted for in the primary but he was running against Hillary Clinton so it was an easy call. Trump also didn't like the electoral college either but now I think he kind of likes it. 😁

  • The GOP has to give up the social conservative Bible thumping ideas. People will grow up to be more fiscally conservative, but they won't be more socially conservative.

Trump is a good step, as long as nobody talks about Pence.

Agreed. They've got to step off gay marriage and that sort of thing. Has to happen. They don't have to soften their stance on Abortion, in my opinion, but they need to let sex education, birth control and family planning become widespread. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't suppress all those things and then condemn abortion too.

I don't know. It worked for him this time out but I don't know if he likes the system any more than most people that don't understand what the ramifications of pure democracy do. I've yet to get a sense that Donald Trump is particularly intelligent and understands a great deal of nuance. If he were a tool he'd definitely be a sledgehammer and not a surgeon's scalpel.

Trump’s flip-flop on the electoral college: From ‘disaster’ to ‘genius’

First, let’s look at Trump’s position in 2012, when it appeared that Mitt Romney might win the popular vote but lose the electoral college.

“He [Obama] lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country!” (Nov. 6)

“The phoney [sic] electoral college made a laughing stock out of our nation. The loser one!” (Nov. 6)

    “More votes equals a loss…revolution!” (Nov. 7)

    Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump

We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided!

    11:29 PM - 6 Nov 2012

    Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump

The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy.

    Yet on Tuesday, Trump tweeted:

    Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump

The Electoral College is actually genius in that it brings all states, including the smaller ones, into play. Campaigning is much different!

    8:40 AM - 15 Nov 2016

    Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump

If the election were based on total popular vote I would have campaigned in N.Y. Florida and California and won even bigger and more easily

    8:34 AM - 15 Nov 2016

When Trump thought President Obama had won the electoral college while losing the popular vote, Trump thought the electoral college was a “disaster for a democracy.”

Now that he himself won the electoral college with narrow wins in three states, while losing the popular vote, Trump thinks it’s a “genius” system.
