  • It's simple, whatever QB they determine to be the best in this draft pick the motherfucker #1 overall and be done with it. Then address the ILB position with the 1B pick and address the DL with the 2a pick then OL after that.

In the Mahomes thread you question who the kid is and why bother taking him.

Pretend for a moment our front office says he's our #1 target.

Still cool with how 'simple' it is?

The only highlights of him I saw were in here and his mechanics were a mess. I would take a flyer on him with a 7th for his size alone. Give me one of the top 3 QB's at 1 overall. And again, the homer in me wants Trubisky.

Garrett prefers to be drafted by a team that doesnt play in cold weather.

  • lots of stuff in that life that Id "prefer".....this isnt a big deal to me at all......I say draft him and he'll be just fine....

Heck....If I was being drafted, Id prefer a warm weather team too.....and a good one, at that.....but Id go and play where ever I was drafted....

I think this may be a "please don't draft me, Browns" statement while trying to not sound like a diva.

  • Agree with Mud. No big deal. He also said he'd give his best wherever he went.

If our brain trust thinks that Mahomes is their #1 target then line em up and send an armor piercing shell through each brain in line.

  • So it's not that simple then, I guess.

    ...nice talk

Tell Myles that if we draft him he can put his salary towards a retractable roof for the stadium.

.....the more I've been thinking about that over the years I really DO think that northern, cold weather stadiums should have a roof of some sort. Not JUST for the fans who freeze their asses off but also to keep players from using that excuse (at least for games and practices)

If by chance NE would draft him, he wouldn't bitch about playing for Belicheat.

Oooh... Then if we're drafting first, tell the 49ers we'll swap picks- at the price of a draft pick...

Even the players have turned into wimps.... Crap, I've been to plenty of games in assorted Domes, Detroit, Indy, St. Louis. If you like that ambiance- stay home and watch the game on the tube, and save yourself a ton of money.

I've been to a bunch of games where the temperatures were in the single digits- and it's not an issue if you know how to dress for it.

A fourth round center and this draft would be perfect.

We don't need 3 OL and Dalvin Cook will be a very good NFL RB.

  • If we get lucky (stop laughing), Reiter could be our center. Maybe not an allstar, but possibly "serviceable", right? And before you dismiss the Dalvin Cook selection, remember Crow might not be back, and we could very easily need a premier RB. I'm obviously an FSU homer, but Cook is a rare talent that can house the ball whenever he touches it, and he can also hurt you through the air. Additionally, he will pick up the blitz too. I'm not saying it's what I WOULD DO, but it'd be fun!

  • I've heard several people say Cook is their chosen RB.

I thought that Leonard Fourette was the de facto front runner for top RB this draft?

    I also really like McCafferey.

Who do you like the best though?

  • If we lose Crow then I'm cool rolling with McCaffery 2nd and possibly holding steady with what we have.

So many ways to be effective on offense in today's NFL. If you have several capable backs, you're good to go.

Ya, I remember it well. Damn, would analytics have led Sam to try the FG instead? I thought about that when Hue stated that analytics leads to his play calling. That was why he went for 2 early amongst other plays
