Funny story: My wife was a Hooker when I met her. Now she is a Gipson. Let me know if you want to hear it.

Was she good...or just a Fair Hooker?

She was about as fair a hooker as Fair Hooker was as a WR.

Hooker is more of a center field free safety

Peppers is more of an in the box strong safety

Depends on what the team wants

yep.....though we seem weaker at FS and, at least, have a couple younguns at SS that might develop.....

Hooker would be my pick.....just wish he had the return skills of Peppers....

Speaking of returners.....Anyone know why Coleman cant/doesnt return kicks?.....I thought that was one of his strengths......time for him to earn his keep.....

Kick offs are where you get fucked up on. Thats asking to get you first round pick hurt. Punts are a bit safer option avoiding those situations.

  • Hooker is absolutely awesome. Can't imagine him not being an NFL star.

  • Yes, there's an OSU player available so we need to draft him now. Didn't you see the mock drafts from last year? Hahaha.

But, honestly, the Browns need a Safety so I'd be fine with it. He definitely dig jump on this when his stock was at its highest. What Cardale should have done.

Dem Steelers have done OK drafting Ohio State guys. 🙂 How 'bout that Zeke Elliott? Ha- I give myself an A+ draft grade on that one, saying he was the best RB to come out of Buckeye land since Eddie George.

LOL! I'm pretty sure just about everyone believed that about Elliott, so have a participation trophy placed on your mantle of "wins". 😆 😉

  • Does Jamal Adams from LSU play free safety or strong safety? Is the position somewhat interchangeable? Hooker declaring for the draft actually helps us a ton. It adds another premier player to a severe position of need, and that's extremely important now that our Philly pick is at 12. There's a good chance that either Jamal Adams or Malik Hooker will get picked in the top 11, but it's rather doubtful that BOTH will be gone. Well, maybe not doubtful, but it definitely helps the odds. You figure Garrett and Allen are obviously gone, probably two QB's, at least one RB, one safety, at least one corner, and some pass rushers. Good chance we can get a safety at 12...I hope. Both Adams and Hooker are elite level talents, and would immediately help our team immensely.

Speaking of our secondary, what do you guys think of some of the CB's in the first round? I know we have a bit of PTSD with Justin Gilbert, but there are some studs entering the draft. University of Florida has two guys at corner that are projected very high. Tabor is one that I can think of, and he's nasty. Reminds me very much of Joe Haden. Extremely physical and doesn't back down.

  • I want nothing to do with a corner with our first 4 picks. I believe corners are much like RBs where u can find them later in the draft, and u can get by with mediocre corners if u have a good pass rush and good safety play. I also believe we have a few capable guys on the roster already.

  • CBs look to be deep enough for some very good ones to fall to Day 2. How many not named Humphrey are elite this draft?

I think of Adams as an SS, but most listings have him simply as "S". He seems fast enough to play either, but Hooker is almost a full tenth faster in the 40.

Not sure Hooker's addition helps push a Safety to us, but it pushes someone down... please be Foster...please be Foster... and we've yet to see the QB surge we know is coming... 🙂

  • I always end up looking at a top whatever-our-draft-pick-is number of guys. Last year I came up with a list of eight names I'd be happy with before they traded down. In 2015 it was twelve. 2014 I have Mack, Watkins, Clowney and I think Teddy.

Who do you have in your top 12 this year? For me I guess in rough order I'd be happy with:

    Garrett

    Allen

    Watson

    Trubisky

    Adams

    Hooker

    Foster

    Peppers

    Humphrey

    Tabor

That's not 12. I mean, there are guys like Fournette who are probably as good as the guys on that list but I'd be disappointed if we drafted him, we don't have a gaping hole at running back. Maybe I'm imagining a drop off from that level, and maybe I'm a know-nothing internet warrior, but that's what my gut is telling me. Fournette to the Panthers makes too much sense to happen, but he could also go to the Jets. A couple of receivers - Williams and Ross - are supposed to go high but same deal, we're not desperate for more receivers.

    Both

That's true haha. We do need both.

Especially when he got put behind the Cowboys OL

Not that far along as yet. Struck through those I either don't like (Peppers, Watson) or am luke-warm on at this point (Trubs, Adams, Tabor).
