The Browns Board

  • Ok Browns fans. In all seriousness. I probably approached it wrong so sorry if your personally offended. If you still are than I dont know what to tell ya. Its a message board it happens all the time. Just seemed kinda strange having all these people whos team notoriously does poorly and is always going through coaches piling on one of the continusly winning coaches in college football ( if you don't think so go chech out TX Techs record since getting Leach). So I think you got my main points and if you want to talk about b.s then thats on you guys now.

    Timmy,

Have you finished your homework yet? Your gonna fail if you don't.

Thanks for stopping by. Your posts have shown us how wrong we were.

They've also shown us that you're exactly like your daddy and that 's why your mommy needs some perspective.

Come back again soon. Bye Bye.

    Leach

    You're welcome.

See how everyone's taking you seriously now?

Spare me. Do not pretend like you know anything about me. I'm a college student. Not at Tx Tech just so you know and I happen to be a college and NFL fan like most of the rest of you. Dropping IQ...once again do not pretend like you know me and then take a look at the posts that most of you put up here and really read them. I'm a college student and I'm on here killing some time. I feel fine about myself for that. Not to sterotype but its not much of a reach to say that is a pretty insecure town when one person disagreeing with the group, which deep down lets be honest knows your team is no good, can ignite all this......all you want to hear is Brady Quinn is gonna break out any week now...or Mangini doesn't take divas....ok well thats boring...but whatever go Browns I guess, another year of excellance

Are you serious? You're trying to insult intelligence with these posts? You write like my 9 year old. Worse, actually.

If you're a college student, I see they have significantly lowered admission standards since I graduated high school.

He's a journalism major so he gets a pass.

  • I agree with Leach - Mangini is a jackass.

He may be a jackass but he has a nice ass.

Mangini is my hero, I want to have his children. He doesn't have the pedophilia/inbred streak to him like Tomlin.

  • There once was a tot named Tim213,

who taunted Browns fans from behind a screen.

The Browns' fans paused to see Little Tim look so sad:

"YOU'RE A BUNCH OF BROWNS POOPEY-HEADS" said the lad,

"AND YOU STINK AND I'LL KICK ALL OF YOUR ASSES"

The Browns fans laughed, and said "Have fun in your K-school classes".

and while they moved on, Little Tim made a fuss:

"YOU All ARE SO MEAN, YOU MADE ME MISS MY BUS!"

and he cried, clutching his pink hippopotamus.

  • Harrell Talks About Leach-Mangini Feud

Posted by Mike Florio on April 30, 2009, 2:55 p.m. EDT

Former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell wasn’t drafted. And he has yet to sign with an NFL team; instead, he’ll merely be participating in this weekend’s rookie camp with the Browns.

It’s an interesting arrangement, given that Harrell’s former coach, Mike Leach, recently has taken shots at Harrell’s possible future coach, Eric Mangini.

ā€œMichael Crabtree has been more successful as a receiver than that guy as a coach at this point,ā€ Leach said regarding Mangini after Crabtree slid to No. 10 in the draft, possibly due to reports leaked by the Browns that they think Crabtree is a diva.

ā€œCoach [Leach] is just supporting his players and wants the best for them,ā€ Harrell recently told Sporting News Radio’s The Monty Show. ā€œI haven’t really heard all the things he’s said . . . I had a friend from Lubbock call me yesterday and say that coach is saying some crazy stuff right now, but that’s just him and he wants the best for his guys and he feels like he’s spent a lot of time with us and wants the best for us. He’s being very supportive and sometimes he does it in interesting ways.ā€

But Leach doesn’t have a problem with it.

ā€œIt’s nice to have the guy that you spent five years with wanting the best for you and pulling for you and hoping that other people will kind of see what he saw in us,ā€ Harrell said. ā€œAnd like I said it’s great that he supports us, he just does it in interesting ways and more controversial ways than other people.ā€

It’s definitely controversial, and it’ll be interesting to see if Mangini can make Harrell into an NFL quarterback, given the consensus through seven rounds of the draft that Leach didn’t do enough to prepare Harrell to play at the next level.

  • Lets just go ahead and say

F@#* him way to go college coach call out a pro...

Actually Mike Leach makes more 'real cash' than Mangini, sorry.

And Texas Tech got better ratings than the Browns last season with their national games.

I just joined this site because I hope to see Harrell make your squad eventually, but I had to correct your misconceptions.

Of course they did because they had national championship implications. Leach was still out of line because Mangini is not quoted as having said those things about Crabtree.

True, Mike Leach has never been media savvy.

He's the guy who says whatever he thinks, and that is refreshing in a world of Mack 'coachspeak' Browns etc, but he does put his foot in his mouth on occasion.

What he said was wrong, but so was the 'diva' talk about Crabtree (I know it wasn't Mangini who said it).

Back to bashing Texas Tech ... wtf? Leach has taken a team with a fraction of the resources of the big-time schools and lesser recruiting pull and made it competitive with almost everyone in the country. Yes, we got our asses kicked by OU, but we beat them in 07 when they were trying to get the national title game.

Tech has only been getting decent recruiting talent for the last couple years, overall we recruit about 7th in the big12 and are #3 in wins.

I can't imagine how anyone could call Leach a bad coach with those kinds of results.

Anyway, I hope Harrell eventually gets called up, he is #1 in Texas HS TDs and #1 in NCAA TDs for a reason.

I would disagree on "coachspeak" Mack Brown. Mack actually gives out a lot of credit to other teams (including yours) and information. Now, the begging for votes is not to my taste but he's by FAR not the worst interview.

#1 in career TDs? Lupe Rodriguez led the nation in passing TDs his senior year at Mission and look at what a great pro he turned out to be šŸ™„

I'm just giving you a hard time. Harrell is the best QB you've had in Lubbock BY FAR since Billy Joe Tolliver (Yes, I'm dating myself).
