Well we've backed ourselves in to such a corner we *need* to get a good deal out of Trump. However, Trump has no interest in giving us a good deal or anything close to it (and fair enough, why should he?).
Conservatives have been going on about how we're 'front of the queue' for a trade deal with the US when Trump has said no such thing, and probably doesn't even care right now.
