    Player dreaddlocks should be removed

I don't know what the NFL rule is or if each team has their own "in house" rule on player appearance, but these guys with these excessive long dreadlocks has got to stop. These players who have these stupid looking fake hair locks are getting ridiculous. There so long that it covers players name on the back of the jersey, and it just shouldn't be allowed. There has to be a appearance clause. If a player chooses to wear this hair fashion, that's ok, but only during your off season. Once camp starts in July, all players are expected to show up to camp with dreads gone, and looking like a man and not some thing out of a comicbook. For those players that choose to wear this hair fashion, then you should go to the fashion industry and show off your hair. This is the NFL, your a employee of a team, and each team should have this clause in a players contract.

Is is just my thoughts on how players should look while their at work. From July to Dec, you are under the teams employment regulation. From Jan to June, you can look how ever you wish to look.

Ha- I suppose you don't know hair outside of your helmet is considered part of your uniform. One of the all-time funnest dred moments was Troy Polymumu intercepted a pass, was heading towards the end zone, and a guy yanked him down from behind - along with a fist full of dreadlocks.

    Dear Whitebread...

Troy did not sport dreadlocks. He just had a head of flowing Polynesian hair.

🙂 don't let facts get in the way of a fun moment in sports.

  • Was searching around couldn't find anything on Robert Griffin ||| and Josh Gordon getting new contracts? If anyone has any info on this please post back..

Thank you God bless an Nature Bless as well... 🙂

  • New Contracts???

I think we would just like to end the old ones.

Gordon is on the indefinite suspension list, so nothing going on there.

Grif may be a March 15 casualty.

Not positive about Gordon. But sportrac says he's a RFA, meaning the Browns would have to pony up at least $1.6 million to keep him hanging around.

Griffin's day of reckoning is March 11th. if they decide to keep him, the Browns will owe him $750k as a roster bonus, plus his $6 million salary. Ghoolie fer sure doesn't think he worth it, and neither do I.

Gordon being suspended rolls his contract over, so despite it being the 2017 season he'd be on his rookie contract. We're not paying him while suspended, so there's not much to be gained from cutting him.

  • screw Bob Griffin, don't let him linger around here any longer stinking the place up , tell Gordrod to keep hanging out with Johnny Fuckstain.

  • Youre a funny sob.

    Dont ever change ghoolie.

Yeah dont you ever go all Bruce Jenner on us .....

  • Super Bowl ref's, will they be neutral ?

We all have seen bad calls , missed calls, and really outrageous flags being called against teams through out the season. Will the ref's have a

inside plan to "favor" the Patriots on penalties. What I mean is not throwing flags on the Patriots, and throwing everything against the Falcons? It does happen.

  • Probably depends on how they bet on the game. 🙄

  • Thanks for the info I still am uncertain on there situations seems very many different people have different perspectives about what they signed on there deals.. I think we should defentily keep them both trade back an grab more picks.. Go Browns!!!!

The Browns are done with Gordon. He's only technically on the team because he's suspended.

    Griffin sucks.

  • They will be as neutral as the teams let them be.

I only think they should let him go if they have a plan in place to replace him......as a veteran bridge/backup QB. (with the understanding that they will draft a QB) Or the other option I guess if they let him go would be to bring McCown back.

The Steelers are not playing, so there should be neutrality.

Figure this: 2005 Seahawks.....Super Bowl title stolen by poor/prejudiced referring.

2014 Seahawks....Super Bowl title stolen by their own stupidity.

    This...

Suspensions stop the season accrual clock. Theoretically he could be ours until he is in his 40's... at which time I think I would join the chorus of those who want to release him.

  • Who owns who ?

If the team owner wanted to move the team, name & colors to a different city, would you still cheer for the BROWNS no matter what city it was in? Does the NFL own the rights , names, and colors of a team?

For example, The owner of the Houston Oilers moved the team, and changed the name, logo, and colors. If the Browns moved, could the owner change the team name and keep the colors?

He'd probably still be better than what we're drafting.

All can be done with approval. Don't use the Browns, bad example. Your better example is the Oilers/Tits. They change their name, colors etc. to better reflect the new location. "Oilers" was pretty specific to the Houston area. No oilers worked the oil fields of Tennessee. Other, more generic team names have stayed the same upon a move: Chargers/Raiders/Rams./Cardinals/Colts

When the AFL Dallas Texans moved to Kansas City, they certainly did not keep the name Texans. TheWashington Redskins started out as the Boston Redskins. While that name is inappropriate to either city, it was not endemic to either, so it stayed.

As for previous names....I believe that the NFL retains rights via trademark registration to all former team names. They may even still own all the old ones: Canton Bulldogs, Providence Steam Roller, Pottsville Maroons, etc. The ones they probably do not own are where NFL team adopted the same name as the local baseball team. There used to be Cleveland Indians, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds etc. etc. football teams.
