I'm sure there's aliens out there given how enormous the universe is and how many potentially habitable planets we've discovered from afar - I strongly doubt any of them have visited us and mostly doubt that any would have the capability to visit us - though it's plausible

Having read about this fairly extensively I ultimately think he did, in fact, act alone.

No, although electronics made a really vast leap really quickly. I could see where it would be a theory.

No, but I don't know why no one has ever bothered to go back. According to what I've read there's fairly extensive mineral wealth on the moon. You'd think it would be a free-for-all to grab it.

Intelligence services are pretty secretive but I doubt their mission is to protect us from Aliens. We have a hard enough time protecting ourselves from other humans

I'm sure there is alien life. I don't know how many, if any, of them have mastered the secrets of interstellar travel though. That would take a very highly advanced society. If theyr'e anything like mankind which is a fair assumption, they're probably as self-limiting as we are.

It was probably exaggerated for propaganda purposes but vastly? It seems unlikely. It was in the latter days of the war after all what would be the great victory in exaggerating the atrocities of a defeated enemy?

No, but I don't know why no one has ever bothered to go back. According to what I've read there's fairly extensive mineral wealth on the moon. You'd think it would be a free-for-all to grab it.
It's because the aliens said "don't come back...or else!"
Or that it's just an expensive and lengthy endeavor to do a round trip to the moon, that and the lack of atmosphere leads to other difficulties.
I think we're pretty close to it being economically feasible to mine the moon or other planets though - it might happen in some of our lifetimes.

If bending spacetime is possible, then there are ways to travel faster than the speed of light. Though we're not anywhere close to being able to do that in our lifetimes.
