What barrier? Electing a non-American President? I prefer a foreigner who loves America like Arnold.

Obama will be ousted before his term is up. The guy is an abomination.

    Couldnt agree more

It's one thing I agree with you guys on the guy is a complete and total fraud and congratulations to him for fooling the American people. This country has just elected a fucking communist President who is out to destroy America...

I'm not a fan of Obama or McCaine, but I think Obama was the better choice simply because of his running mate. Biden has a lot more clout than Palin could ever hope to get, and McCaine's selection of Palin is in my mind what sealed his fate. This election proved nothing in terms of racial acceptance, as all the southern hillbillies and cowboys voted for McCaine instead of Obama and black turnout was surely the highest in history, again voting entirely on color lines.

I'd like to see what Obama brings to the table. Certainly it can't be as bad as Bush, but really I don't expect any major improvements. He's just another figurehead with no credibility who will let the guys behind the scenes really run the show. It's not like at his inaguration he's going to pull every troop out of Iraq and Afghanistan and bring them all home or anything; it's all the same party politics regardless of who is in office. He'll pass the same bills McCaine would have that will benefit his rich buddies, while promising the blue collar people like you and I that he's looking out for our interestes -- all the while gas prices steadily creep back to the four dollar range and Osama Bin Laden lives to fight another day.

        You guys are amazing.

A guy (Faninthehammer) expresses good wishes to you and your country after an historic election and it turns into this shit.

        Unfukkenbelievable.

its just so unfair that other people get what they work for, and some prosper from it. so long as you dont have to worry about putting gas in your car or paying your mortgage. you help him, he'll help you.

Is it fair that a CEO of a big company might get fired and get a severance package of $30 million for a few years work? That happend not too long ago with (I believe) Verizon or AT&T.

Is it fair a QB can suck and still walk away with $8 million? Is it fair that a rookie 1st rounder can make more guaranteed money in his first season than players who have proven their worth after 10 seasons?

Life isn't fair. Get used to it. It's not for the government to decide how much a CEO should make, or a QB should make, or even you and I should make - that's up to the shareholders and board of directors. Once the government has that power, it will trickle down to the rest of us; only those people THEY deem worthy will make money, and those people will change with every election.

Fiscal responsibility isn't something you can legislate. It has to be something that is shook up by the market. What we're seeing now will shake it up all right. I guarantee you we'll see companies being a lot more careful about executive pay and severance packages, and it will be a hell of a lot more effective than any government scheme.

For every CEO you hear about with the golden parachute, there are 10 or more who have no such assurance and bust their asses as much as you or I.

Let's also not lose sight of the fact that companies are what create jobs for most of us to work. Not the government. Stop punishing people and companies for success or people and companies will stop trying to be successful. That will do more to damage our future than any economic bubble bursting or bank failing.

Stop being jealous because your neighbor has more than you - you probably have no idea what he or she went through to get it.

Let's cross our fingers and pray that our new President does a good job.

I haven't said it, but Congratulations PRESIDENT Obama. Maybe we can put the last 8 years of outright war behind us.

Well, my company lost millions last year. This after being ranked number one in Inc. 500 a year prior.

It was easy to see all the errors being made and sloppiness from leadership on down, but now it has hit home and the shit has hit the fan. Now, only the strong will survive.

That's the way it should be.

I was thinking tonight (no way!) it seems to me that, morally/ethically any CEOs responsibility should be first to the employees and the customers, but too many put 'shareholder value' in first place, to the detriment of everything else. The best companies have these individuals in charge.

It's unfortunate this drive we have where it's all about 'shareholder value' or 'maximizing profits'. I guess it's a result of our very materialistic society. Yeah, I like money, too, but what purpose does it serve to squeeze people as hard as you can?

Well said- and in regards to the mainstream media the silence of not having the cajones to say one of the deciding factors in this election was racial is deafening. One look at the US county by county map tells you everything you need to know. If the African American vote in Ohio just goes 60-40 instead of 97% I'll repeat that, 97% Obama, he doesn't win Ohio.

Now that you've promised your followers the stars, sun, and moon- time to deliver Barak. Funny how in your acceptance speech, you're already running for a second term.

socialism is all about manipulating the masses. The biggest problem with Osamabama, is his own radical big mouth.

It's one thing to say "the rich should be taxed a little more and we need to cut wasteful spending and redirect it

to help the poor get off poverty by giving them opportunities to become successful on their own"

                        vs

"take from the capilalists, kill millions of unborn and BORN American children, cut up the military, distribute all the wealth

equally to all, take all guns away" while having Bill Ayers, Dorn, Wright, Rezko, etc etc etc etc for friends and then ...

Well, the masses have been manipulated, and the communist flag was waving at Osamabama's victory party.

Meanwhile, some black kids in high school were heard saying they will now do anything and say anything they want to, because

                        they have taken over.

And that, may end up being the most despicable aspect of Osamabama's dictat..er... "presidency"

                        "I see dead economies."

We will see how Barack Obama does here in office because this is what the people in the news media have wanted now for the last 2 years the "Messiah" as they refer to him as well they wanted him they got him. We still dont know who this guy is even after all this time. You still have idiots like Keith Olbermann on NBC ripping on Sarah Palin and John McCain last night even after the race is over. I dont know even know what Olbermann has to say anymore since all he ever does is come on his show and rip the Republican Party every night. The guy is mentally disturbed and is about as vile as they come. He can forget about talking about Sarah Palin and Bush now here because both of those people after awhile aren't going to matter they are both done. Palin lost she is going back to Alaska and Bush will be retired back in Texas come the end of January. So that means anything that happens here with the country after January 20th will be on Obama's head not George Bush's.

While I dont agree with everything George Bush has done with the economy as far as National Security goes there has not been another attack since 9/11. He has stopped a total of 120 potential attacks since the tragedy of 2001. Can Barack Obama with his radical associations and terrorists friends like Bill Ayers do the same thing?? We are going to find out how he responds when something like this comes up. Because like I mentioned the media such as NBC and all the other left wing stations are not going to be able to come on and blame George Bush for things like they do for every little problem that comes up once Obama is in office. Those days are done with.

They both made a bunch of promises,( or threats, however you want to take it) its up to Obama to prove his detractors right, or wrong. To me the most important issue for him to cover now is the elimination of the final minority, Rich People! Like it or not , black president or white, 10% of our population still controls 80% of the wealth, fat cats get fatter, big oil gets bigger, and the money machine rolls on for the final minority. Spread the Wealth Obama you promised.

You literally just scared the shit out of me!!! I am not into socialism...and if that is the agenda I literally WILL find someplace else to live.

If you do you only get to take half of your money with you, LOL, some free country we live in

Oh and Pres Bush taking $700 billion dollars to bail out banks is socialism as well, one doing it doesnt make the other right. Zubba76 speaks more truth then alot of people are willing to accept and that bail out was proof of that. The bill failed in congress first so what happend? The next day every news source out there quit calling it BAIL OUT and started calling it RESCUE BILL, haha sounds better that way and they pushed it through. What a load of crock.

Obama voted in favor of the bailout as well.

Exactly. Why is that? Why is the party that's supposed to be the champion of the free market pushing for the "bill"? Because the Republican party (since Reagan) has always supported socialism for the VERY rich, because that's who's lobby they listen to the most, that's who pays for their national campaigns. Why are the Democrats supporting the bill? Because they're bought and paid for by the same interests.

For the last 30 years neither the Democrats nor the Republicans have done ANYTHING to address the looting of this nation's wealth by our own elites. Most people don't even realize how we're being raped every day by the Fed, nor do they even know it's not a government agency, but a collection of private interests.

Anyhow, before I get myself too depressed... I'd like to enjoy this milestone in our cultural development a while.

I'm done with this thread. Please go inform yourself, that's all I will say.

The only difference between the two parties anymore is one touts religion/anti-abortion and the other doesn't. They are all the same.

WOW..What a loser . And a stupid one at that . I guess there's no chance of your sorry ass working hard enough to 'join" the "final minority " as you say ..Face it pal . Even if Chairman MaoBama TAXES the living daylights out of the wealthy , they will still be wealthy ....and you will still be in whatever sorry state you find yourself in today . These folks who control the wealth, as you put it ,also control the corporations and the jobs in this country. They WILL pass these higher taxes on to the public in the form of higher prices for the goods and services they provide . The WELFARE check you get from Chairman MaoBama won't come close to covering the increase and you will fall further behind ....Socialism and spreading the wealth has never worked . The Soviet Union collapsed under it ,so is Venezula. The masses from Cuba fled it in boats to come to this country ...and those weren't CEO's of companies in that country ..those were the poor people of that country ....I do not see anyone trying to get into China ...I am glad you got your wish,(not really) but remember this feeling you have today when three years from now you are bent over to the "man" and you are saying "please sir may I have another!! Your position in life is not because some rich person has held you back ...you have held yourself back .Anything can be done in this country if you work hard and use your brain---this is the land of opportunity . That was proven once again on Tuesday night ..

Oh and one more thing Mr Broke dick .......

You bashed "big oil" I guess, because Chairman MaoBama told you you should ...but Exxon / Mobil alone paid more in Federal Corporate tax than the lowest paying 60% of taxpayers in this country combined ..That's one corporation ..the top 10% of wage earners pay 90%+ plus of all the individual taxes paid ....The US already " spreads the wealth" ..Do you think your government benefit check (ie Welfare) check grows on trees ????? where can I get some of that Government cheese????

For the love of all that his holy, why isn't this in the political part of the board!

All politicians are the same! They all take money from oil companies and other interest groups! The same interest groups and big businesses give money to both sides of the isle.

LOL the sad part is most people realize both parties are the same yet we still vote one of these two parties in every 4 years. We need to start voting for one of these other 3rd parties that never get any time in the debates. I wonder why that is? Because the people running the debates are bought and paid for and do not want anybody coming in and breaking up their monoply. Sorry had to post one more time here. Its nice to see that alot of people atleast on this board dont have there heads shoved so far up there asses they cant see what our goverment is truely about.
