The Las Vegas Raiders

The Browns Board
197 26 5.8k
    • Living in another city and rooting for the Browns? I do it now. So what? I am not switching allegiance because I love the Raiders...........but I WILL LOVE the Las Vegas Raiders........................... BIG BIG BIG difference. We will be moving to Vegas when the time is right, The combination of the greatest city, climate, scenery and city on Earth, with the addition of a fresh, new football team...................will be a rebirth for me.

Well: A. it is not the "greatest city". It is simply a city that has grown beyond its mean. B. Climate? Uh, no. If you wanted the best climate you should be jumping on the bandwagon for a city back in San Diego. Searing 110 degree heat is no sane person's idea of a great climate. C. Scenery? Well, its not too bad there, but to see the good scenery you have to get out of Nevada and go a couple of hundred miles into Utah or Arizona. D. "Fresh, new football team"? No, its an old football team that has just moved. You want a fresh new team, wait for expansion.

So, I guess I have to ask this? Which part of it is important to you: The "Las Vegas" part, or "The Raiders" part? For us, the important part of the equation is the "Cleveland". It could be Browns, Bulldogs, Gladiators, Rams, Laughing Hyenas, or whatever. The name is merely incidental to the city/region that you are a native of.

The Cleveland Browns have one 1 NFL championship.

Well, so much for any credibility you may have even had with your first grade teacher, you can't even count.

The Browns have only won 1 title that I can personally remember. Maybe that is what you meant.

Fuck you and your fair-weather bullshit. You are rooting for a fraud. A fucking imitation. The Browns play in Baltimore and are called the Ravens. Modell was the Browns. He still is.

Digging a deeper hole. Modell was the Browns. Sure. Paul Brown and Mickey McBride had nothing to do with creating. The league thought so much of Art Modell that they decided he was too much of an icon for them and asked him to leave and forced him to sell his team.

Maybe Steven Biscotti is the Browns...by your method of thinking.

And fair weather? Yep, all of us just jumped ship and abandoned our team when things got tough. OOH, wait a minute...that wasn't us...that was YOU. DOH!

You are like the cocksucker who lays naked next to Jennifer Lopez and turns on Wheel Of Fortune.

But seriously, for me, understand, for me, it is heaven. A few thoughts

    • As an environmental scientist the desert is a veritable historical account of creating, chemistry and geology. It appeals greatly to that part of my brain.
    • As biker, the roads and paths are phenomenal. Nice jaunts to LA, Phoenix and more
    • As a musician, the opportunities for me to play, something I really love, are abundant like no place on earth. Tons of high end restaurants for accordion work, clubs and bars for guitar work, and, perhaps I will take up a recent invite to audition for a new Cirque show slated for 2019.
    • Clean Air, no nasty pollution, factories. No snow. No rap culture turning everything to shit.
    • Hill climbing, dune buggies, zip lines, fishing, lake meade, the Colorado River,
    • Food mecca

The casinos and events? Icing on the cake, but not what I love most about Vegas.

Nothing wrong with any of this. It still does not mean you are not a FRAK.

  • Regarding why you're still here, Mr. Board Owner (& I consider him a friend) gave you an unlimited "Get out of Jail Free" card. Try to understand- that outranks what any of the Mods opinions of your posting is.

And just because Stan is giving you a pass does not mean he is going to FRAK his way into being a Raiders fan. After all, he is the owner of The Browns Board....not "The Raiders Board".

  • A judicious ruling...

  • Las Vegas......for me, possibly the least desirable place on the planet.....glad Im not a Raider....

Temporary patterns, Already on the rise.

If you're talking about the average global temperature, you're 100% correct. If the Ross ice shelf in Antarctica collapses, cities like New York and Tampa are in big trouble. So yeah, Vegas is up high enough that won't affect you. Speaking of high temperatures, Vegas has tied it's record of 117 twice since 2005. Let's go for 120!! Um, get an A/C failure on a day like that, people are gonna die. So much for "great climate".

  • great climate?......haaaaaaaaaaahahahaha......

  • Literally laughing my ass off at the ladies who are all wet because the Raiders are moving to Vegas.

Was Oakland too hardcore for you?

Not man enough to hang by your childhood team come hell or high water?

I don't know how to say this other than ... You're just on the wrong football board.

Ghoolie is the biggest pussy on earth.

    Period.

Apparently you missed the last 20 years of Ghoolie the fatass Raven faggot getting banned from every Browns forum in existence during that time except this one because he is a dumbass Ravens troll. Glad I could help you get caught up.

Wonderful climate ......if you're a snake or a lizard.

No wonder why no one seriously settled the deep south or west until the invention of good HVAC or water pipelines.

Scorpions.... you forgot scorpions. My neighbor lived in Vegas for many years, moved back to Ohio. On my return from there back one May I commented about springtime in the desert "you can almost imagine some green in all that brown."

As I told Ghoolie all those desert towns are an artificial oasis- based on a very limited supply of water. It was little wonder when I was there right after 9\11 they had National Guard armed with automatic weapons keeping an eye on anyone who wanted to cross the Hoover Dam. (They've since diverted the road at great expense.) Instead of symbolically taking down the World Trade Center buildings Al-Qaeda could have done way more & lasting damage taking out that dam.

  • Yeah... but it's a dry heat...

You want hot? Try Houston in August... 100 deg F plus 90% humidity...

If they had run into the Hoover Dam with planes however, only the planes would have been obliterated. I don't think the dam would have been that badly scathed.

Been there! They offered me a job in the Baytown steel plant....no thanks.

So the difference between Lost Wages, NV and Houston is one is self basting 😆

  • Well having been born on the swamp that was reclaimed as Beaumont (there are no beautiful mountains anywhere near it), Houston has nothing on that place. It's really SW La.-even has a damn cajun name.

I put Beaumont in the rear view mirror in 1959. Been back maybe 5 times since, last time being maybe 30+ years ago. Gumbo's in Georgetown is about as close as I get to creole/cajun these days.

If Mexico has a Margaritaville, then Beaumont surely qualifies as Mosquitoville in the US.

Oakland? Look who's talking. What, don't you like Baltimore?

The Vegas Raiders are not the Oakland Raiders.

Best Climate in the USA......................... funny, nobody retires up North. Florida? LMAO. Zomblow dates a lot of hot women in Naples. He takes them home and pulls on their tits until the wrinkles come out.

A lot of people retire up north, simply by staying home. As I have gotten older the cold, ice, snow can sort of get to me. My biggest worry is falling on ice. So I understand why people go south.

If it were not for the fact that my kids are here I would retire to southern Ireland. (FYI, they have palm trees there)

As for Zombo pulling on old ladies tits....yep, I can believe that.

Many people working or retired have started moving away from "Zika-ville" and other areas for various reasons and are moving "back home".
