That may be a convenient dismissal, Steve, but by any objective measure Joe is still a conservative... a classic, small-government conservative... similar to George Will... Peggy Noonan... and scores of others who still identify as Republicans, but find it harder and harder to do so with each passing day.
Joe speaks out against Trump and Republicans who are closer to him philosophically than they are Trump, yet will not speak out.
Now if you want to label Joe as being full of himself. No issues there...
