I'm just posing a question here. We are just talking about those who are able bodied and not people like my father who worked proudly at GM in Lordstown for 33 years right? He now has a myriad of health problems and has just become a Medicare/Medicade recipient. It's hard to tell the difference in who's being talked about not just here but in Washington as well.
I support these programs because they help people like my father and grandparents when they were alive. They will also help my mother when she retires from 30 years plus of being an educator in the state of Ohio. I get the feeling that there are some that would be more than happy to completely wipe out these programs and completely forsake those that paid their dues. That IMO is immoral and would be a disgrace were it to ever happen.

Yep I have no problem with helping somebody out that's really in need. On the other hand I am offended if anybody is taking that charity and refusing to do the slightest bit of work. I think having something to do on a daily basis gives a human being a sense of purpose regardless of how small it may be.

OF COURSE we are only talking about the ABUSERS of the system. It's always been about
the ABUSERS of the system. That "feeling" is completely wrong.
Not you, but in general, the tendency of liberals is to flip the objection to liberal emotional knee jerks like this:
Liberals hate the 2nd Amendment. We say "don't infringe on our rights to keep our guns"...and liberals say,
"oh yeah? what about that nutjob mental patient excon who killed somebody with a gun?"
it's a stupid reach of a counterpoint. Nobody is referring to the latter. Nearly every? time, we talk about abuse of our
immigration/open obamao borders, gang members...terrorists...scum criminals.....liberals go "well, what about that single mom with two cute little kids and..."
The flip of that flip is...would you want obaMao to cut your Father's benefits, to give a lot of that program's money to
illegal scumbuckets, gang members, etc etc etc, coming here to abuse the programs? Of course not.
The programs are not going to do a great job of helping people like your Dad, if the funding is abused by those who should NOT use it ..and it's at that point...has been..-
those who never earned it, those who are perfectly able to work, but choose to NOT work, and fraudulently enjoy a free ride.
IMO, the liberals want those illegals here, want their democratic government handouts vote...and they actually don't care that
it affects the funding to help those who really need the help. ObaMao being one of the worst.
Condoning open borders is about abusing our gov support systems, and flooding our American voter demographics with
democratic dependent on gov voters who should not be here. Much of the same with our gov help the deserving and needy
Americans - liberals want to give illegals SS, welfare, free phones, free hc..... etc etc etc etc.
And our veterans have to go to bad veteran hospitals and get poor treatment and long wait times...
that is a sick outrage.

Believe it or not it is a human need to have purpose. That's why you see the free ride crew looking aged far beyond their years at times. Some times drugs are a contributing factor but not always.
