  • Ghoolie is sooo right on this.

    Passed on wentz last year, have a prototypical franchise QB from the Cleveland area that wants to play for his home team and we sign someone who doesn't want to be in the brown and orange and can't get off the bench because of a stubbed toe.

    Another regretful 1st pick by next year's car salesman of the year.

    These guys can't pick anything except their asses.

  • I'm liking Kizer better than I did when we picked him. Seems like a hard-working kid and doesn't sound like a punk.

    But

    It's a rare occasion a team has the opportunity to draft the best quarterback prospect. We took a defensive player in that spot and gambled with the quarterback. I hope that works out like we hoped Brady Quinn Charlie Frye Colt McCoy and Brandon Weeden would work out.

    We will hopefully not be in the position in the next draft to select the one blue chip Prospect. That honor will probably go to Buffalo or the Jets.

    And no matter how much of a homer you might be or how badly ghooley pisses you off so far the bears look like they've gotten the real deal despite having to overpay. Which we would not have had to.

    And that can all change in a matter of seconds in the next preseason game so...

  • The Garrett pick im sure will be a good one. The problem I have with him over Trubisky at 1 is , if we're lucky Garrett's name will show up in a stat line maybe 5 to 7 times a game. Trubisky on the other hand will show up 25 to 30 plus a game. I can't see how taking a DL 1 overall out weighs a QB at 1.
