I always had it as soccer is maybe for mama's boys, MMA is human cock fighting or upscale bum fights which now has the WWF, WWE whatever fans who like such specticles and has cracked into bigger venues.
Both still not true ALL AMERICAN SPORTS more like European and redneck stuff......but hey that's ok if it's your thing.

I don't like either of them, but it was entertaining. Floyd was never in danger and conor got saved from a brutal ko. Easiest payday Floyd's ever had.

This fight was a joke as a serious fight, they divided up about $300,000,000 between them (but I'd like to see the real final numbers).

Canelo triple G and Lomechenko are the only fighters worth talking about in boxing. This fight was just interesting.

This wasn't supposed to be competitive. It was a cash grab and a spectacle. It lived up to those expectations.
there's no speculation. In a real fight or an mma fight, Floyd would get dusted so bad it's not funny. No top level boxer would ever step up and challenge a top mma guy. They'd get taken down and choked out or beaten down till the ref stoppage

I prefer purity in my Martial Arts. No "mixing". That, to me, is the same as mixing boxing and martial arts. I had no interest in this spectacle.

Gassing out in a boxing match is not the same as an mma fight. He gassed out like 45min into the fight. The dude is usually dealing with grappling and strikes but for far less time. They're too different sports.
Being said, im glad he lost. Mcgregors an obnoxious loudmouth irish windbag. Id rather watch him do the riverdance than listen to him talk

The best part was all the mcgregor nuthuggers. "His power is amazing! He'll ko him... Floyd is too small. Conor can't be hurt...i was telling them.. His setups are all gone without kicks. And there is no way he punches harder on a boxing ring than the best boxers on the planet, which is what Floyd has been in there with for decades.
1. Conor has no power compared to a pro boxer. All the pros at ringside agreed. Arm punches, no weight transfer, sloppy.
2. They all said Floyd carried him for several rds. His strategy was to see what conor had, let him punch himself out, and then pick him apart and finish him to be exciting. He knew after 1 punch that conor had nothing for him
3. All boxers agreed that conor did great for how little he knows, and that he's tough as hell. All of them said Floyd wouldn't step in the cage for a billion. He'd get finished whenever conor felt like it and he knows it.
4. They said Floyd would've been torn up by a top boxer that night, but so what. He wasn't training for a boxer. He was training for the ufcs latest cash cow. They did everything they could to make the general public believe conor had a chance. And it worked

Ah, me and the Gipper had this discussion years ago. Though she would have been a tad young for the part as Galadriel (most beautiful elf\human ever) in Lord of the Rings, (MHO is Kate Blanchette didn't cut it), Saorise Ronan would have been fine in the role when Jackson did The Hobbitt.
