Michael Bennett "exaggerated"

  • I'll ask it again. Why did the detaining officer not have his body cam going that would have supported him in his denial he did or said anything inappropriate? I am not that naive to believe there is only the police version of this story. That is the protective version you will always get. Did you really expect anything else from Vegas cops?

No I wouldn't. In the case that someone is accused of something of which there is absolutely no proof I would certainly expect something like this. Wouldn't you?

But you are upset by the word exaggerated? I thought that was a generous term.

  • So your contention is that had the detention officer had his body cam on we would have seen (heard) the racism Bennett is claiming?  And that's how you know it was intentionally off?  I wonder what you thought before cops wore body cams?

Who says it was off? The police do. Very convenient that just the key one is "off" according to them. What does their policy call for? What is SOP? And what is SOP for drawing your gun on an unarmed man? Get what I'm saying now? Many more unanswered questions than answered ones at this point.

    You're a liberal, without a doubt.  Sad.

Drawing a weapon on an unarmed man that's larger than 99% of human beings and a world-class athlete in one of the most violent positions in sports? No doubt I think Marquis of Queensbury should be the rule of law.

LOL! He had no idea who that was. Of all the people running he picked out the big black guy and then he pulled a gun on him. Why is that?

No-I think for myself without prejudice against others not of my race and smart enough to know people get profiled because of their race. Bennett got profiled by a prejudiced cop who saw a black man running in a crowd of runners. And he pulled a gun on him. A thinking man wants to know what the SOP is for pulling a gun. Do you know for sure he was within SOP? I don't.

The difference between me and others here is that I'm willing to ask the questions and wait for the answers rather than come to a prejudicial decision before the facts are all in.

Did you see the link where the cops released the body cam video?

Also why is that? Stereotypes exist for a reason. Besides most of the people there or African American. And the other side of the coin scolding somebody for automatically believing the cop is that worse than automatically believing the semi-literate violent sports playing Thug?

    😕

Your prejudices are showing. You belong down here. You'd be at home.

Meet your semi-literate thug:  "I'm asking all professional athletes to join me by donating a portion of your endorsements this year to a cause of your choice. We can make a difference. It's up to us to help plant seeds of hope and help fuel the future." -M. Bennett

    I don't buy that for a minute.

My prejudice? But it's not prejudiced whatsoever to assume that every cop that stops somebody actually did put a gun to his head? Even when there's no evidence. It's pretty plain how these news stories go it's always the cop in the wrong until you find out differently.

    WSS

  • PS maybe you left out the part that says 'plus I'm going to sue the Sheet out of the police department so it won't matter how much I donate!' Ho ho ho.

And for the record I tend to think that the cops are for the most part, good guys. Some don't think that way and always believe they are out to get someone innocent..
