So.....how was our pass rush today?

The Browns Board

  • What pass rush is that?

  • Im sure there 4th quarter exodus up 9th to the west 6th was more if a rush than fans saw all day in the stadium

  • Exactly as i thought. I Didnt think og and nas were any good last year and i was skeptical of orchard since we drafted him. When i saw almost no perceptible improvement in any if their pass rushing either power or technique in preseason, i called this. We're 3-4 games in, these guys arent going to magically grow a pass rushing skillset as the seadon rolls on and their bodies break down. Its over. Even if garrett just blows up rookie records whenever he geys back, we have to adress the other DE spot in the offseason.

Im officially over og, nas and orchard. Im all for calling up ps guys now. They're worse than kruger. All of them are "years" away from being any good in the nfl....are we going to keep them that long in the hopes one of these years will finally be their breakout?

It's cheap with a high upside to keep them and keep aquiring picks. The ones we do hit on, will save jimmy a fortune for a couple years.

No, they're taking up roster spots. Karter schult should be on the roster getting reps so we can see who he is. We know now what og, nassib and orchard are. Only nassib is worth keeping because he's a decent run stopper, which he was last year too so theres just not been much improvement across the board. Im done with all of them as starters. We need to make a trade or sign a FA. Im leaning for making ansah an offer this offseason.

  • I expected a better pass rush against the Bungholes, considering they have 2 of the worst OT's in the league.

  • Og easily had his best game Sunday... but no... overall there was little sustained pressure on Dalton.

Nassib played below the level we've seen to date. Poor rush discipline led to at least two Dalton escapes and runs... one for a first down.

Covey has some moments. Brantley had a moment. Ogun? Can't remember hearing his name called.

  • Ogbah had a less than mediocre day but he's set the bar so low doing anything is like oh hey ogbahs out there i completely forgot about him.

Shmuck these guys. This is year two and they've shown not an ounce of improved tech. Teams can prob look at college tape and know how to stop their rush.

    .

Oh lemme guess, nassib got thrown high by the OT and dalton just stepped up and then out didnt he?

ive been bitching about the enormous pocket our edges routinely create for i dont know how long now. What irritates me is that in williams past defense's he had chris long type DE's that cut the edges down instead of rushing out wide. Why is he putting up with two big prototype DE's in ogbah and nassib trying to speed rush high? If i was dc i would take my finger out on the sideline and literally punch it while watching these clowns carve out a basketball 3pt line path to the qb every down.

Best I can remember Nassib was under their LT's pads, walking him back when Nassib decided to try to rip to the inside., but was unable to disengage and Andy just rolled left and up the field for about 12 and a 1st before stepping OB.

I may not have heard his name, but PFF liked his play.
