All we need to complete this epic season

The Browns Board

  • I'm with Steve on this.. Especially having family like My Stepfather, My Grandfather who were soldiers.. Viet Nam and WWI definitely is a big part of My family's heritage and legacy if you wanna call it that. Not saying I or we praise war. But I do have great respect for those who died and faught for this country.. And for those who continue to serve... If we were gonna cry about injustice.. Lets start with many of these soldiers who today are left behind if we want to protest something... Not to digress...Soldiers, Law Enforcement.. And even School teachers deserve better than to be taunted and mocked for trying to protect those that mock them.. I'm not against demonstrations.. But like my parents taught me.. There's a proper time and place to carry out your mission.... People take how you carry yourself seriously...

Sorry... honestly not following your point here... unless it's vet homelessness... in which case I am not only with you, but possibly ahead of you.

Also, digression or not, your introducing teachers(?) into the discussion. Law enforcement I get since they in part are at the center of the protest.

What point exactly do you think I glossed over or ignored?

None... now. Thanks for that... but not sure what you think you spared me by laying off my differentiation between country and flag.

As is often the case, in the end this will boil down to money. The objection has grown bigger than I'd imagined it would... in no small part due to flame-fanning by out fanner-in-chief... but I'll save any expansion on that point for a return to another section of the Board... someday.

    Or over a beer...

In early stages of planning a family... as in Grandkids and all... coaster tour in 2018 that will include a Cedar Point stopover... a/k/a your backyard.

  • It just seems to me we are shooting ourselves in the foot in a few of the games, The players we have "Can" win if we STOP TURNING IT OVER IN THE RED ZONE! If we can do that we can win a few gamesĀ Ā IĀ am not saying we will win 8 games but 5 or 6, We gave the Jets that game, We gave Pisspuke a run for their money, Cinntucky kicked the Sheet out of us and Indy slapped us around in the first half. It seems there is always 1 wr or te that just destroys usĀ  in every game but we do keep the rb in check for the most part. If we can have a decent start Tomorrow I think we can win.

Fair enough. Just so you understand that my point here is just from a PR standpoint not political.Ā If the guy really really wants to play in the NFL and some team would really really like to have him but worries about the bad publicity if I were his agent or anybody concerned with his future that's what I would suggest. He doesn't have to turn his back on his cause but a simple admission that perhaps this isn't the best way to go about it would suffice. And whether or not you me David Duke or Malcolm X agrees with the protest the simple fact is I would bet dollars to dogturdsĀ that the bulk of the NFL fans don't find that behavior endearing. And that's where he works. If heĀ were a professor of black studies at Howard University his superiors probably wouldn't be upset.

But bring it on over to probiotics if you have a mind to.

  • the in-fighting is what our 'enemies' have been hoping for. there's no other way to break 'us'.

to each his own their reason why they respect the flag or the country.... the people that don't (including a lot of nfl players) know nothing about the pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of freedom unless that includes throwing a ball through a hoop or being able to jump high. they don't know their grandfathers, cuz they don't know their dads.

love the game but won't get caught up right now in how 'they' are playing it. hopefully the browns will turn it around. i just don't agree with signing some youngin for millions of dollars to be in control of your team when they've never strapped one on. just like i don't believe in people's refusal to stand for the flag cuz you you never served.

that's your right to piss all over our history, tear down statues, burn documents and black out history because it doesn't jive with your thinking of how america should be run after 230 years of it doing alright.

  • I'm going to back away slowly now...

Yes Tour.. I mean veterans that can't get any help in whatever capacity they need it.... We can have a gazillion fat assed lazy broads raping the system by making babies and living off welfare but can't seem to do enough for those who fought for us...

While reading this, let's remember that this is the guy who recently referred to Kizer as a "monkey" and "gorilla" during a game chat. The more you know.

    You owe us a rainbow...

First, that's not true... Physically vets are well-tended to.

Mentally? I hear you, but that's not just a vet issue... and we can help. This is part of the "I have" I mentioned above... https://iava.org/ Locally I do more for a Men's shelter that sees more vets that it should have to... clothes donations mostly.

The rest of your reply... not touching it as I tend not to touch anything with a pre-2000 expiration date.
