Hue most likely gone now....

I have no issue with Williams.
What? How many times have you said that you hate him? And his D is a bunch of undisciplined blitzers running around out there?
Aaaanyway. I think Hue is a terrible game managing coach...and have for quite some time...but he IS shackled with poor QB's and WR's in a PASSING league. Even a real good coach would be scratching his head at what he can do to get a win. This stockpile of losses that we've accumed over the last two years is NOT his fault.
Do I think he should be replaced? Yeah. But not because of all of the losses.

Pass attempts: 3rd most in the NFL, 30TH IN YPA (plus 14 INTs, 6 more than the next worst). Rush attempts: 20th in NFL, 15th in YPC
Other division leaders:
- Rams: 18th in pass atps, 7th in rushes, despite ranked 19th in ypc
- Eagles: 12th in pass atps, 4th in rushes
- Jags: 27th in pass atps, 1st in rushes
This speaks to playcalling. These teams with young QBs STRONGLY emphasize the run game, and throw the ball far less than we do with developing QBs. We should be closer to what the Jags do, but were calling plays like we have Aaron Rodgers. Its very frustrating.
You forgot the ultimate rookie, care-taking stat line...
Passing Rushing Scoring Date Week Tm Opp Result GS Cmp Att Cmp% Yds TD Int Rate Sk Yds Y/A AY/A Rush Yds Y/A TD 2PM TD 2017-10-15 6 CHI @ BAL W 27-24 * 8 16 50.00 113 1 0 94.0 4 23 7.06 8.31 4 32 8.00 0 0 2017-10-22 7 CHI CAR W 17-3 * 4 7 57.14 107 0 0 101.8 4 22 15.29 15.29 5 3 0.60 0 0 Two week total... 12/23 220-yd and 2 wins...
Total attempts and yards in those two games?

I can't see us going 4-5 over the next 9, which is the MINIMUM of what Hue probably has to do to keep his job. Even that would place him at 5-27 over his tenure, which blows. And I don't think he even gets to 4 wins this year.
His decision to decline a fifteen yard penalty in the first qtr when the titans had the ball on the 32 and give them a 4th and 1 was absurd....that speaks to his understanding of risk/reward and expected pt totals....just an obscene coaching malpractice decision.

he pretty much sucks at coaching....don't see him ever getting the clowns to the sb or even the playoffs. however, it is not all his fault...You can put alot of blame on the dumbass analytic morons, chachi and lamebrane for the shitty butt players they have drafted., and of course the biggest pooper of all...the faaaaacking owner..

If williams takes over as hc the defense likely suffers and we have to bring an oc in midseason. Do any of u think before u put ur thoughts and feelings down in this digital utopia? The problems we're already having with our qb's and wr's and u wanna bring in a new scheme?

Hue gets at least another season to show improvement IF he can squeak out 2-3 wins this season..
Anything less and we will have yet another mediocre HC with no coaching experience...
Is Rob Chudzinski looking for another shot at being a head coach again?

The problem to a great extent, to me IS the scheme. It is NOT working. So, yes, either bring in a new scheme.....or make adjustments to this one to where it will work. That is a major deficiency that Hue has going for him......failure to adjust when he sees something is not working. Calling plays that seem to have no chance of success.

More than one of us here thought Haslam canned Chud too soon, the guy bled brown & orange. Fit Ghooile's profile of an up and comer. Now Jimmy is between a rock and a hard place, stick with the plan, (because of past hair trigger reactions) or keep a coach that is showing signs of being the worst HC in Browns history.
This is getting so bad, it's starting to make me look with fondness on the days of old Pat Shure-loss.

They canned him after a season..
They should have never canned Mangini at least our players were disciplined and didn't commit penalties every Shmuckin play.. -

Hate to bust your bubble, but Hue isn't going anywhere this season.
Not saying it's what I want or think should happen, but I think at this point the writing is on the wall for Hue. Once they get blown out in london I wouldn't be surprised to see a change.
Though I believe he may be one of the two worst coaches we've had since 99' (other being Pat Shurmur). He hasn't really helped himself by taking on OC and HC duties, though.
-
I was the only 1 in the room when Jack butt declined a 15 yard penalty and let them have it 4th and 1. I don't think to many pro teams would ever not go for it on 4th and 1 where they had the ball. Yes we did only hold them to 3 and we did keep them out of the end zone all game but still a dumb move. I really think Hue has no clue what he is doing, IDK if he has somebody telling him what to do with the 2 way radio he has, (I don't think I ever seen a coach have a head set and a 2 way radio at the same time) But Hue seems lost, like he is going to catch Sheet no matter what he does.

Nope. They mad.

There’s no tangible evidence that a change will be made when you say, so you’re really just trying to sugarcoat the fact that you want a change.

Lets not go overboard. Even this may not be as bad as Shurmur. To me, Shurmur was clueless regardless. With Hue, I think he just cannot handle the double duty of being HC and OC. If he would do one or the other, he may do OK......but not as it is now. The only thing comparable was with Butch trying to do both HC and GM duties.

I'm a greenseer, I predicted Kessler would take snaps on sunday last week.
Hue is pretty bad, but I would be satisfied with him giving up OC duties and remaining the HC.

Did someone just fart?
The horrible odor emanating from the field today was detectable in the stands Tour. And to top off another thrilling way to lose a game, Joe Thomas is probably out for the year. I would gladly have settled for a tie, but NOOOOO.
Hope your London sightseeing goes well. That game in Twickenham? Either load up on antacids, or drink heavily beforehand, and during the game. Howie and the G-Man will show you how to pound Guinness like a pro.
Still agree with those that think Hue stays thru the season and returns in 2018 if certain conditions are met... e.g., OC installed... but he is sure not making it easy to maintain that view.
For me it still boils down to whether or not he loses the locker room... losing Joe is not going to make that any easier.
... drink heavily beforehand, and during the game. Howie and the G-Man will show you how to pound Guinness like a pro.
I choose plan B... already have a time and place set with Kizer...

But nay Guiness... Beamish, will be my stout, if I can find it... otherwise Tennyson or one I've enjoyed before called "10 p" the brewer of which I forget (there was also a 15 or 20 p version which I did not think was as good). Supposedly the designations were the price of a pint once-upon-a-time.

Browns run out of reasons to stick with clueless Hue Jackson
All the way to UK for a Sporting News article? Interesting... The writer packed a lot into that article... these bits stood out...
- "Kizer still ended up being more efficient than Kessler... " - Hue's early resolve to play Kizer needs to return come what may. It starts with a public affirmation and continues with time spent next to his rookie QB after every series.
- "Jackson isn't complementing the other side of the ball with his game plans..." - Empty claims devoid of any explanation bother me. Sunday we ran 67 plays, 41 passes and 26 rushes. Not 50/50, but also not 75/25... about 60/40 if you do the math. Not unreasonable when a drive is derailed by penalty and/or 1st-down incompletion.
- "Jackson has been adamant about trying to get slumping power running back Isaiah Crowell on track when receiving back Duke Johnson Jr. has been the Browns' best source of offense." - We all know Crow's limitations, his flaws/weaknesses, but this side of Dayes (who we are not seeing for some reason likely obscured by practice showings), Crow is our best power back. We saw evidence of this yesterday when he got to the 2nd level via run or especially pass. I mean hwo wasn't cheering on that one run-after-catch on the near sideline. And Duke's truth is he is not an everydown RB. We saw what happens when he takes a shot... Crow ended up in more passing situations... making good on throws to him that were above his shoe bottoms.
- "You would think that would make Jackson feature his tight ends more in the passing game, but despite their athleticism, David Njoku and Seth DeValve have been treated more like flashes than players with substance." - Who Hue "features" in a play design can be very different from who the QB du play selects as his target... something the D can dictate. Does the author not allow that the D game plan against the same athlete's he sees?
My bottom line... It's an article with a point of view I cannot dismiss, but one which it does not support very well. It's leaving that to its like-minded readers.

Beamish is for pussies.

Here we go with people now screamin we shoulda neva let that chudzinski boy go, he was a good boy he was.

This is our fate every other summer to every summer from now on. Who? Oh he coached special teams for the sasketchewan roughriders (actual cfl team btw,my trolls are vetted) well Shmuck get him here to cleveland!!!
Shmuck me. Just keep hue. Let him grow as a coach here. Stop turning on every guy that doesnt deliver immediate results. If we had a team thst was loaded with SB talent, fine....u can say a coaching change gets them over.
Thats not the case here, it just isnt

are you friggin kidding me...we should have had either goff or wentz and building around them...look at what the rams and eagles are doing..they both sucked before they got their qb's and they have the gm knowledge on how to build around them...and they are not using Shmucking analytics...instead we have 3 horrible qb's that we are playing ring around the rosie with...boy, how is that working out for you...our ol...eh, did we not spend billions on a new ol.....coupled with crowell and his usual 17 carries for 53 yds, they suck....oh yeah, and by the way, how is kenny britt working out...i told gumball 73 what was going to happen there as he was pumping his boy.... as for..our defense...they are going to end up either 25 or lower by the end of the yr..they will be completely worn down and injuries will pile up...the Shmucking analytic morons should have picked goff or wentz....like terry bradshaw said last week, the browns fo are stupid...we have terrible mgmt and that is where it all starts mah man...it all flows down from the top......
