The NE has the best pizza. Mom and Pop joints.

Im sure you have places like that in Ohio too.

Youngstown has probably the best overall pizza in NE Ohio. Lots of ol' school family pizzerias.

I'm Italian, so I have an affinity for family-owned pizza joints over chains.

Me too,, I grew up on the real deal homemade... And we don't kill it with 20lbs of mozzarella on it...

if the browns are going to trade for a veteran QB, Alex Smith would be a better option with more in the tank.

wasn't alex smith a topic of convo on this board years ago and everyone nayed nayed me when i said yay?

i guess when your franchise is sliding down the pit to hades, everything and everyone is worth a shot.

manning? Shmuck no. keep on believing FAKE media. reaching for straws now are we? why would he want his legacy be remembered as flop biz-wise to join this 'winning' org? like he walks on rarified football water?

I’d still prefer to find a guy in the draft that can be our QB for the next 15 years, but if we’re going the veteran route bring on Alex Smith.  Eli is already washed up, no use putting him on the youngest roster in football.

The pizza is not great but Schnatter (sp?)seems like an okay guy.

What qualifies Manning a NFL executive or business man?

    He owns several Papa Johns.

Chain pizza shops are rarely excellent.

Antonio's based in Cleveland is an exception to that rule so is Uno out of Chicago.

Otherwise I'd say the best our local and almost every city has one or two. Or more.

  • Alex smith.......another qb that IS NOT COMING TO CLEVELAND JESUS FUKKING CHRIST. Do some of u think he's got a titty boner thinking about going from first to worst? He's staying in KC to try to win a SB, its his last best chance now. If that window closes and they move on with mahommes he's retiring a chief u numpties. Dudes made plenty of money he wont feel the need to risk more CTE on a last paycheck from jimmy where he will get hit more than he ever has in his life

    think about it

  • Pfffft, if he gets traded he has no say, and how often does a 33 year old QB turn down millions to avoid going to a bad team?

He'll avoid going to the browns bank on it. He'll retire before accepting that trade. And im not in the mood for KC's asking price which will be the #1 pick. We take that pick and draft a QB

  • I don’t think Alex Smith is that big of a bitch to turn down 20 mil plus just to avoid the Browns.  Smith was traded to a 2-14 team in a rat Sheet city and didnt seem to mind.  I’d rather draft a QB as well, but if the browns are going to trade for a veteran QB, smith seems To hit all the criteria:

    -worth acquiring

-on a team willing to trade him

-not too far over the hill.

Ideally the browns just make the right pick and we don’t have to worry about who the QB will be until 2032, but a few years of a legit nfl starter while the future waits in the wings isn’t a bad option either

Oh yeah I remember a lot of the "not there any more joints" along with the ones that survived in the Youngstown/Warren area,  not bad for that size metropolitan area.

And yes nothing like another pizza thread hijacking a boring BROWNS thread......plus we always found Papa John's pizza a bit greasy but no need to settle we have plenty others!

Hey mjp, you should have been here in "The Dark Years" of no football back in the 90's.  🙂 Notice the who should we draft threads are already starting, and it's not even November?

Dayton pizza? Thin crust- Marion's. You want East Coast Neapolitan- Flying Pizza, honorable mention to Joe's.  PS the only chain worse than Papa John's is Pizza Hut.

  • I saw P. Manning in the stands at the WS game 2 last nite...

Clearly he is going to be announced as the Dodgers' new GM as soon as the Series is over...

Pizza Hut has better pizza dough than Papa Johns... But I'm also Sicilian and prefer a thick crust to the wimpy thin crust where everything falls in your lap as soon you pickup a slice...

Eli is too old for this analytic driven FO

Under this scenario this front office would not be in charge Peyton would be in charge

I'd be for it. Peyton coaching Eli would be a game breaker.

  • If Peyton thinks bringing in Eli is the best solution, it’s time to find a new director of football operations.

You didn't obviously read the proposition.   Eli would just be a place holder for whatever young QB would come in and be groomed by them.  It happens all the time with football teams.

I agree with that. When the team is an operating at 100% efficiency Eli is not the guy that can carry them over the line. When the team sucks, he sucks.

I wonder if Archie would be willing to suit up.

Did you really say what you wanted to say? "When a team is operating at 100% efficiency....Eli is not the guy that can carry them over the line".

Is that what you meant?  If say, I see two Super Bowl rings on his hand that says otherwise.

Elway was successful....ergo they assume Manning would be.   That is pretty much it as far as I can see.

I understand the scenario just fine, but even as a placeholder a 37 year old Eli with all those miles, owed all that money?  No thanks, Kessler can placehold just fine and the browns won’t have to dump mega millions into a has been
