Again..i'm not enamored by stats like you are.   I watched with my own eyes in the stadium our defense get butt raped by the Bengals.  I watched on TV seeing Indy and Houston drive up and down the field on this defense that you're so afraid to change.

Im not simply going by stats i can see what they're doing. I know why those teams went up and down the field. U dont. There are problems with certain players that ive gone over here "ad nauseum". Theres players i dont want to see on the team next year. But that isnt on williams. What he's done with not much to work with is astounding.

    again, after only a year

I know why too...our defense isn't as great as you make it out to be...if it was, the team wouldn't be 0-8.     Pay attention...the only stat that matters is the record of the team.  This team is 0-8.   There are holes on both sides of the ball.   Someone has to lose their job based on the performance of the team.   There's no way that a team goes 1-31 or 2-30 and keeps everyone and everything the same.

  • @clevfan4life said:

This is a multi variable equation. And its be ause of thinking like urs in the past that we're where we are. U cabt throw away parts of the team that are making not hust some progress but significant progress

    Mark,

I have been battling this inane line of thinking since 1999. Always, always, always, arm-chair FO execs INSIST that we mortals really don't see the big picture............. that we don't see all the phenomenal improvements that just don't show up as wins, running and passing yardage, touchdowns, ypc, ypp, etc. You see, these "experts" understand football at a much higher level than you and me.

Getting better you see has nothing to do with measurable performance.

Players drop passes? This is not bad, because unlike last year, we are finding open guys. Now we just have to insert guys who can catch.

Missing blacks and tackles? This is also not bad because unlike last year our scheme is putting guys in position to make plays. NOW...all we have to do is put better players into our phenomenal scheme.

Seriously man, you can't argue with this jackoff reasoning. Sports are about winning, Football is about winning. About touchdowns, highlight films, big plays. I predicted that the 2017 defense would fare no better than the 2016 version and it hasn't, not in any demonstrable way. We are more aggressive, but doesn't mean better, it means more fun to watch, but at the end of the day, Williams is a jackoff, too. He isn't beating anyone to a pulp. He just blitzes more.

    Gotta clean house.

  • Try paying attn when guys like tour, tia, tcpo and frankly myself.....talk. You might pick some things up.

the key here is to ignore ghoolie. Completely?

The only thing Mark O can pick up listening to you jackoffs is ear syphilis. This team is worse than the 2017 version. For the love of God man, you have guys (Garrett included) openly proclaiming they don't want to play in Cleveland. This franchise is schidt.

Fair to say Ghools. imo Kizer is a spit'in image to a guy also wearing #7 in GB..Brett Hundley-UCLA.. same size/same release..Brett had 3 years playing at UCLA. Kizer 2 years. Hundley went 4th round. Hundley has sat behind Rogers since 2015..Hue seems to be fast tracking Kizer to get some 2018 pre-draft answers..Kizer seems like a tuff as nails kid..

I just want to see the kid given the full monte chance. Hue already screwed with his psyche. You know, if this is still not about winning? I can at least stomach it if the team is behind the QB. I just know in life anything I ever got good at I spenf 99.9% of the time really sucking at it. You can't judge this kid until repetition after repetition after repetition starts to work into his memory, his muscle memory, his sense of timing, of the rush,  on and on it goes. Just give him an honest chance. This bullschidt of yanking him, only for him to watch really bad QBs, is so mindlessly moronic I can't even believe it.

Benching him in favor of jackoffs like Kessler and Blogan? WTF? This kid has more physical skills in his nutsack than those guys do collectively.

If Kizer busts, so be it. But don't do this schidt to the kid. I hate Hue more for that, than any of his other stupidity.

Pass defense is 19th. Thats why thise teams threw all over us. Our secondary wasnt playing that great and our pass rushing was non existent. Its multi variable and thats why smart people who understand this generally make it to the NFL (except to the browns) and jackoffs like us are stuck on internet forums whining about sht we dont fully understand

The offense is worse yes. And thats because some genius let mccown walk. Last years offense was only better than this years because of mccown and the serviceable minutes we got from kessler at the end of the season.

The only circumstance that i would entertain firing hue in is if he was integral in the mccown decision. But somehow because if the whole osweiler trade that i think was foisted in him by the mobeyball fgts, i dont think it was all his call. We would gave had too many qb's in camp.

  • Ghoolie if u ran the browns they would hire new coaches by midseason every year till something stuck. And it never would obviously. U bemoan garrett wanting to play in dallas, well guess wut sam darnold diesnt want to fukking come here either. More and more olayers are going to openly shun the browns, draft/sign who then?

The only thing the browns "potentially" have to offer is stability. Remember bosa wasnt hot about the prospect of coming to  cleveland but now u always about we screwed up not taking him or a qb when i dont  recall u stumping fir bosa at all. It was mainly me and gip

    1) i dont think we're missing blacks

    2) the fact u think the 2017 defense is no better than ladt years horton shtshow shows ur relative lack of onfield knowledge. We didnt go from 31st to 6th in run stopping cause #blitzingandsuch

  • Secondary is also "much" more active in the run game, and thats a gregg williams D. He doesnt tolerate faggits that turtle up and dive for shoelaces cause a big bad rb is comin for em

I firmly believe those were teaching moments..Don't turn the ball over & protect it..Kizer has not turned it over since Titians game..Neither Manning's got benched for them either as rookies..Hard to really keep score with this kind of offensive talent..Come on GorDo!!

    fire ALL OF THEM

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

that's why team mates are screaming at each other in the endzone when they accuse each other of blowing the coverage.

yeah i'll keep listening to this.....it's hilarious!

I dont know how anyone can be so adamant about firing the entire staff after a year but think we should have left kizer in there when he was "clearly" shtting the bed. Ofc u pull ur qb when he's making just nonsense throws that i still cant explain

  • i'm stretching this cuz usually i'm all biz (like REAL LIFE BIZ).......but i really am curious to see if this numbers thing works out.

i'll give them 'til week 10 of next year and if they haven't improved by 4 wins (should be easy considering our record and most understandable will be soft schedule) then they are out.

    come rant then.

  • @mark-o said:

You said both sides of the ball wouldn't be Shmucked with.  What else can that mean other than you don't want things changed.  You're ok with the status quo of a 1-23 football team.

"Scheme" esse....schemes i dont want fukked with. I mean offensively its not that big of a deal but defensive scheme changes can be seismic especially if u go from a 4-3 to a 3-4

Yeah- I think we all get that. If Hue and Williams go, you'd hope the defensive coordinator they bring in is primarily a 4-3 guy. But in today's NFL that's pretty simplistic. It's situational football for the defense. 5-2, 3-7 etc.

The 2nd pick against Tenn. sailed 7 feet over intended receivers head🥷..Kizer has no touch on passes. Not sure at this point you can teach it either..Depo & SB gotta go..Enter David Gettleman & get out of his way..Should have got here during bye to evaluate Hue..Gettleman apparently got Riverboat Ron Reiva off the Hot Seat in Carolina..15 new GM's would not lose Gregg Williams as DC if shake-up is done the right way..

And the most damning for Stosh is the fact that he's made all these moves and the Browns still don't even have a star player. He's worse than lousy.....pathetic

Calvin Johnson at the Lions can't find his car keys because of all the rings in the house, "star players" is just Madden talk.

Madden talk doesn't leave empty home seats. Legit stars = $$$

I will say this,   at least I think your comparison of Hue as the Black Uncle Fester is better/more accurate than anyone you compared as the Black Tarkenton.

    And a lot funnier.

    Who is next?

I mean, if you think about it, Deshone Kizer has a little Herman Munster in him, don't he?

So?  No more Black Tarkenton....or Black Herman Munster?   Fair enough by me.
