First thing you have to realize is:

    • Those of you calling for Hue to get canned will never get it.  You must love having a new coach every one or two years.
    • Those of you calling for our young players to be canned, I don't know where to begin.  Seth gets a ball knocked out, he needs to be canned.  Njuko didn't block the rusher, he needs to be canned.  And this is just this game, not to mention much more.
    • We got rid of all of our high priced players and made this team one of the youngest in the league.  They need to grow and will take time.
    • Kizer played much better until the last play of the game, but you have to give him credit for that.  But like I said before, these are all rookies or 2nd year players.  I truly believe in the next 2 years, these guys will be playing at a very high level.  You guys have to bear with this team.

First thing you have to realize is that this is a bottom line league...you are what your record says you are.   Hue is 1-24 as a HC, that sucks and he is still making the same mistakes over and over and over again.   His play callling is horrendous.  I think he's actually keeping Kizer from playing better.   So those of you saying that we should keep Huey no matter what....what does it take for him to lose his job?  Does he need to literally take a shit on the field during the game?   1-31 is still ok in your mind?  What about 1-47?    2-46?   What does it take for the organization to decide that he's just not a good HC and find someone else?

Frankly I don't care if we go 1-31 or 2-30.  Next year I expect to see improvement.  The players won't be so young.  And with the draft, we will be much better.  Now if next year we don't see improvement next year, then I will join the bandwagon as well to get rid of Hue.  And I do agree with most people on this board that we need an OC.  It's way too much for Hue to coach this team without one.

  • next year....next year...next year.   So all this improvement will start next season.  Got it.  So why bother even watching this year?  Why spend the money?   Other teams get better each year but not in Cleveland...it takes 3 years for coach Huey to learn how to call plays to his players strengths.   Got it.   So next year when we are losing each and every week you will see that a coach who goes 1-24 and 2-30 is just not a good HC.   A good HC would've managed to win a couple of close ones rather than losing every single fucking game.

I guess where I'm at is what constitutes improvement? I would hate to tie anyone to a number but is 2-14 improvement? 6-42 is the worst 3 year span I believe since the league expanded to 16 games.  That means the Browns might need 5 wins next year to avoid it.

I would expect no less than that.  As a matter of fact, I would expect us to win 6+ games next year.

Really? exactly how? The way things are working now?

  • I would expect us to suck a s  s  next year unless we get rid of the FO and coaching staff.

    Glad you’re learning.

I was being sarcastic. It's beyond ridiculous to make anyone wait till 1-46 to make a change. Doing the same thing over and over is insanity. If you don't believe Hue needs to either get an offensive coordinator or take a hike, you obviously don't know football.

I never said he shouldn’t get an OC.

  • So I just finished reading all this.

I didn't follow football today as my best friend, a Viking fan, is in medical intensive care in an induced sleep state with lung infections that they're trying to figure out.   (ok...so I watched a little of McCown and the Jets while he slept with a big tube in his mouth).  -  say a quick prayer for my lifelong best friend ok -

    ----------

I guess we screwed up again before the end of the half.  - A couple weeks ago Kizer scored on a sneak...but it's easier if you're CLOSE to the goal line.

Kenny Britt scored a TD.  Now ya know why Buddy Ryan made that comment, All he does is catch TD passes....it's because that's the only time that they actually TRY to get open and catch a pass.

As always, some people say that we made some progress and others want everyone fired. 🙂    I'll have to watch with my Game Pass in a couple of days.

    How badly was Kizer hurt?

And did our D wear down because of the offense?

Kizer will be ok and the defense played poorly after Lawrence Taylor, I mean Jamie Collins Sr got hurt.

Well, that's the basis of most of my arguments on here with the current regime. If you read into them instead of saying i'm "clueless", "stupid", or "ignorant" you'd know I never said to fire anyone, but that Hue needs an O.C. and Sashi needs an experienced GM. Sashi did great when he had a boss is Jacksonville.

    Ba ha ha ha.....thats funny.

He IS. Try listening to a broadcast with the opposing team announcers. They ALL talk about how Ogbah is a one man wrecking crew, and how Garrett really is not much of a factor. Garrett is a fauhking bust, dude. Put in ear plugs and stop listening to the force-feed of the media. Myles Garrett is a 100% total bust.

    @ghoolie said:

. They ALL talk about how Ogbah is a one man wrecking crew

BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, omg omg bwaaahahahahahahaha holy sht I do hope u don't take urself srsly. Ogbah had the first 6-7 games of the season to be "the man" or the "wrecking crew"....he sucked. Infact he played worse overall than Nassib who also isn't very good. Nobody's calling Ogbah a one man wrecking crew. Ogbah has been consistently blocked by a TE on his side most of the season. In fairness I saw a TE seal the fuk out of nassib today which led to the RB getting around the edge for 20 or so yds. Today was a very bad day on run d once Collins got hurt. But please give me another chuckle on this "one man wrecking crew" we have who doesn't have as many carreer sacks as Joey Bosa had just last year in his rookie season.

Srsly if you need a primer on DL play I'd be more than happy to help you out so you can see what needs to be seen. I'm sure there's other guys here too that can point sht out to you. I'm not 100% uncritical of Garrett btw.....today he was taking "way" too fukking wide of a path to the QB and Stafford murdered us on the step all day. I don't know if that was by design or maybe Garrett felt his inside moves or his outside shoulder power moves weren't there today against Deckard. Today was not a terribly great game out of him but he didn't get absolutely torched in run defense either. All 3 other guys...orchard, Nassib and Ogbah made some really bad mistakes in run D that all broke for 10+ yd runs.

  • I'm a Lions fan and I have a little insight in to this. Lions went 0-16 in 2008. They drafted Stafford #1 and they went 2-14 in his rookie year, which he went 2-8 and missed 6 games. We did get blown out quite a few times, but it was a big step forward from the 2008 team. In 2010 Stafford only played 3 games, but he had 6tds and 1int in those games. The Lions went 6-10 and lost a lot of games that were close. The third year after 0-16, Stafford played his first full season. We won 10 games and made the playoffs the first time in 12 seasons. Stafford had 5000 yards and 40tds. So basically we went 2-14, 6-10, 10-6 after going 0-16. Depending on how the Browns finish this year will tell if progress really has been made. I'd say 4-12 would be a natural progression where you can say ok we improved.

Good game today by the way. I know I was dreading this game, as nobody wants to be the team to lose to a team without a win. Lions had a big game last week winning in Lambeau for the second time in 28 seasons. We were in a short week and came out flat for sure. The Lions in my opinion played one of their worse games today. The Browns are desperate and have nothing to lose, nobody wants to play a team like that. I will give up to Browns coaches a little bit, they came out with a great game plan and those first scripted plays were executed really well. Kizer played his best game perhaps.

Good Luck the rest of the way.

Appreciate the sentiment but please the Lions stink as well.  They may stink a bit less than the Browns but Stafford is 55-62.  I'm not hating on the Lions because you guys are the NFC's version of the Browns but the template for success isn't there.  Yes Stafford has made the Lions better than a cellar dweller but that is about it.

BTW with the direction the Browns are heading I'd take Detroit's limited success in a heartbeat.

LOL well at least the Browns Board is like our support group.

Hi I'm Bacon, I've been a Browns fan since 1985.  I've tried to avoid this horrible addiction but I can't seem to kick the habit.
